Arrow 5X9: What We Leave Behind

I'm not sure, but I kind of think this might be my favorite episode of Arrow to this point. OMG. This season is so good. Also, this feels like a mid season finale. Was it?

Felicity pleads with her BF (whose name I don't know and no longer need to figure out) to stay away from this throwing star killer. He refuses, claiming this is what he does. He ends into his apartment (or wherever he hangs out) and finds a baby picture. He sends it to Felicity and the team tries to figure out why he'd send this. But then, gets captured by Prometheus.

After some flashbacks, Oliver figures out where Prometheus is. He tells Thea (who suited up because it was Felicity's boyfriend who was missing) that he needs to do this alone. He heads over and sees that Prometheus has staged the scene to look like what happened when he killed his dad.

Thanks to Evelyn, Prometheus already knows who all of team Arrow are. But, after an incorrect misstep, we find out who Prometheus is too. After he attacks Curtis, we find out that he injected a drug into him. it's the same drug that belonged to a guy Oliver killed is S1 or 2 due to greed. Turns out, it's this guy's son who is out for revenge.

 And revenge doesn't mean killing Oliver, it means making everyone he loves life's miserable. First, he gets Curtis's husband to leave him; then, he sets up a scenario where Oliver kills Felicity's boyfriend; then he gets Dig arrested; and finally (and I have no idea how this is gonna play out or what it means) Laurel, seemingly alive ends up at the Arrow cave.

Oliver is devastated for having killed Felicity's boyfriend. But, Felicity knows this is all on Prometheus, not Oliver. But still. I feel awful for Oliver. This poor man tries over and over to just do the right thing and it keeps screwing him over.

You guys. How is this show so good?!? I don't get it.
