Wildfire 4X4: Flames

Oh, this episode was so much better than the last one. We got the comfy, cozy back! ❤️

Okay, so, Kris, seeing how unhappy Matt is about Raintree being a dude ranch, convinces Junior to help her buy him Flame, so he can have a race horse at the farm again. However, when Kris and Junior go to look into buying it, they find out the horses at this farm are basically living in squalor. And the guy who owns the farm hates it and is a bit of a nut job.

They leave, and head back to the clinic and Noah says he got a friend in the ASPCA and he'll have him look into it. Turns out the conditions are bad, but not back enough (I'm sorry, what? Did he see that place?) and there is nothing he can do. So, Junior decides to just show up, cash in hand and try to buy Flame.

Junior, Dani, Kris, and Matt head back to the farm. I love that they are all together here. It seems like they are really enjoying each other's company. However, when they get to the farm, they see the barn is on fire with all 12 horses, including Flame, inside. They rush in and try and rescue as many horses as possibly. They get all of them except Flame. Kris is refusing to leave without him, but Junior just hauls her over his shoulder and carries her out. Protests be damned.

Once the get back out, they realize that Matt ran back in to get Flame. However, the fire is really destroying everything now, and they can't go back in and look for Matt. After a few tense moments, Flame comes charging through the wall of the barn, with Matt on his back.

We find out later, that the nut job ended up setting the barn on fire in hopes to collect the insurance money for the horses. After learning this, the ASPCA allows Matt to adopt all 12 horse. And just like that, we're back in the horse racing business!

I really don't understand why Raintree can't be both a dude ranch, that Jean runs, and a racing farm, that Matt runs. I really hope they end up going that route.
