Schedule September 9-13
Added 2024-09-08 12:00:57 +0000 UTCHello, hello. Happy Sunday! It's the first full day of football! Dan is ecstatic. I'm pleased. I'll be more ecstatic if my fantasy team does well. (Bragging Dana wants to remind you that I won the league last season). Dan and I have a side bet going. Whichever one of us ends the season higher than the other wins. If I win, we got to the AYCE sushi place near us. It's incredible. But Dan is not a sushi eater. If Dan wins, I have to make him a lasagne. It's one of the few things I cook really well, but it's super labor intensive and destroys my kitchen. Think good thoughts for me this season! (Actually, this just reminded me that we're going to the Jets home opener on September 19. I have to plan to take that day and the day after off. So, I think the next week and a half will be jam packed in my world. Eek!)
Anyway, this week we start Arrow S4! I have no idea how it could be better than S3. I feel like it has to be disappointing, since S3 was so fucking good. Also, we start S7 of One Tree Hill. I cannot believe how fast this show is going. But, that's what happens when you're watching 3 episodes a week, as opposed to one, I guess. AND, we start S5 of Friday Night Lights. This is the end of the road for this show. It 's been so, so good. I cannot remember who suggested this, but I thank you, so much. It amazes me that this show was super popular when it was on. It's so good! Also, we somehow finish S6 of Outlander this week. What? S6 only has 8 episodes. Was this Covid related? Do you guys know?
I'm also starting to get excited for Heartstopper. Alice Oseman has been posting some stuff on Instagram in the lead up to the next season. I don't know exactly how I'm gonna fit that in yet schedule-wise, but rest assured (for the two of you that probably care), it'll make it into the rotation somehow. I LOVED the first two seasons. I thought they were so well executed. The graphic novels were a goddamn delight, and I didn't know how they were gonna pull it off, but it was so beautifully done.

Also, generally, I make at least one mistake in my schedule. And I'm super grateful when you tell me so I can fix it. If I have made, yet another mistake, please let me know. 🤣

2024-09-10 11:27:41 +0000 UTCTotally understood. And as a Jets fan, I cannot get behind NE. Lol. But I'm not really big on Aaron Rodgers myself. I'm so glad to hear people are excited about Arrow S4. I was worried because S3 was so good that S4 would be a let down.

I just hope that Dana doesn't go into it expecting the worst since she's been hearing how most don't like it, and maybe she'll actually end up liking it, hehe. I think the first half of the season was stronger for sure. But then again, I know several fans who still hate S2 and would prefer S8 to that one, so to each their own. You just never know!!!

S7 is wonderful in my book.... like I said, it's a favorite of mine for so many reasons that we can talk about once you get into it, hehe. And S9 is another world fantastic, that most agree with, so I don't think you'll see many complaints there. S8 is a mixed bag all around, but who knows.... you might end up really liking it as well, so try not to let others sway your opinion until you watch for yourself, but regardless, you still have a lot to be excited about with OTH!!!

But I don't really like to go to football games. 😳 I do LOVE to got to hockey games, though (hockey is my favorite sport). But our best friends are super crazy football fans, so we do end up doing more football stuff than hockey. Sigh. I know! I'm super sad about it. This show was so good. I cannot believe I didn't watch it on my own. I'm hoping I get some sports related suggestions for the Friday Night Lights replacement. 🤣

So, this week of OTH is so much more accessible to me now. I'm so concerned! Peyton, Brooke, Nathan. There are so many variables right now! I've heard a bit of chatter saying people hate S8, but I've heard nothing bad about S7 or S9. I'm super excited for the end of S6, though!

I don't know that I've ever been more excited for a week of OTH reactions before because the fact that you get to do 6x23, 6x24, and 7x01 all in the same week has been super giddy, lol. Seriously those are some of my all time favorite episodes of the series, and not to give anything away but if I'm gushing over episodes then you already know the content that I'm excited about, lol. And I absolutely love S7.....it
