2025-03-08 06:12:50 +0000 UTCThree books but four movies. Just like with Harry Potter and Twilight they wanted to stretch the last book for each series into two movies to make more money. MockingJay is the three book/third and fourth movies. This was supposed to be Katniss' last year up for selection. The way selection works is, the younger you are the more your name is added to the bowl. Every year your name is added one time less. Katniss only had her name in once this year. So her odds of being chosen were almost nil. You can volunteer to add your name extra times for more rations though. Katniss and Gale are only friends.
