⚠️Addressing Steam + itch.io Situation (How you can help!)

If you aren't aware, payment processors are restricting what types of games can be hosted on Steam and itch, mostly including adult games (like my own). The past several weeks have been loss after loss regarding where I can sell my game STRIP Battle Action Cards, which was supposed to release on Steam and itch last month.

Given my games' themes and topics, it seems unlikely that there will be a platform for "Cute & Lewd" games going forward. This won't stop me from making Cute & Lewd games, but it will require the larger platforms to have HEAVY censorship and cut content. This kind of freedom is what led me to make adult content in the first place; it allowed me to share fictional worlds where my characters weren't restrained by societal norms. My content isn't even extreme by these standards but I'm still being punished just as much.

My games still exist, but without new players to find them through the online stores, my funding will continue to dry up as it has been since the Steam rejection. New players are the life blood of a game developer studio.

There are some ways you can help currently:

• Repledging to this Patreon

  • Any amount is fine, we just need to keep the numbers where they are now so I can continue to create. Most supporters are one-time, which I respect as this is the only place to purchase my game in full. But Patreon is also a place to support your favorite creators beyond a one-time donation or payment, especially in difficult times like this. Thank you for considering 🙏

• Pledging to my Safe For Work Patreon: Pengi Potential

  • Pengi Potential acts as a back-up in case the payment processors target adult creators on Patreon again. I will be posting a fully safe for work version of STRIP Battle Action Cards (aka LUCKY Battle Action Cards) to Pengi Potential once the game is altered. And until payment processors attack adult content on Patreon again, I will still post new versions of the uncensored games to Arcane Pengi (here), as I have been doing. Luckily, my games are still enjoyable without the adult content, so you'll still be getting a solid experience with cute characters and fun gameplay.

• Pledging to my Subscribe Star: Arcane Pengi

  • Subscribe Star has proven to be more stable than Patreon in the past, specifically when similar exoduses like this have occurred (extreme fetishes). Subscribe Star offers the most freedom and protection from future attacks like this, but I can understand there may be hesitation to signing up to a new platform. If you want to keep the Cute & Lewd branding of my games, it would be best to continue supporting me there instead.

I want to continue to make great games (Bottomless Mines, Splash 'n Flash, and more) and your support continues to help me grow my studio and create experiences that I wouldn't be able to if I were at another studio. I've already grown my team by +1 (Hinato, as my costume artist) and I intend to keep growing as my crowdfunding continues to grow as well.
