Last Defense Daycare

Okay, so this one didn't actually place in the school poll (though it got a few votes), buuuut I finished getting all the endings in Hundred Line the other day, we have another picture sitting with the series anyway, and I want to talk about it and gauge interest in it so we're submitting it as a bonus! Kind of rushed to get this out on time for the occasion. All in all I loved the game - for all the trepidation I had on it from the previews I kind of just quickly started gelling with it and I've been playing it pretty religiously since launch. Do think it has problems - you can definitely see where budget cuts happened, there are some pretty key questions that never get answered, and not all routes are made equal by any means - but it's an incredibly impressive production that I'd wholeheartedly recommend checking out. Actually kind of had to struggle to narrow down who exactly to include in this picture given just how much I love this cast. Ultimately I settled on Kyoshika because I'd already drawn her, Tsubasa because she best fit the sword joke, Takumi because he's the protagonist and I wanted at least one boy, and Darumi because she's fun and could see how to punctuate the picture with her. Considered most of the rest of the cast as options so yeah, decent chance we'll end up doing more with them later. If nothing else there's at least one more picture waiting in the wings with someone other than these four in it. In fact I've actually been wondering about trying out doing an ongoing comic based on it as kind of an alternative project for when I'm not in the mood for working on Filing Error. Got a lot of ideas and can see how it'd come together pretty easily, but something that gives me hesitation is that I'm not sure how much of an audience there would be for it and it'd definitely involve bare minimum spoiling the initial playthrough for the concept to work. Kind of weighing my options on that and if folks have an opinion on if that's something they'd want to see we'd love to hear it. Also considered as a more accessible, breezier option maybe trying something kind of akin to Ultimate Talent Development Plan from V3 where we just smash a bunch of Kodaka and Uchikoshi casts together (probably specifically Danganronpa, Zero Escape, AITSF, Hundred Line, Rain Code, and Punch Line), throw in padding, and see what happens, which would probably be easier to write and draw and have more freedom while requiring less spoilers so again, if that's something that might appeal to you maybe consider letting us know, definitely in a feeling out process on ideas on that kind of front right now.
