A Most Unlikely Hero 6 WIP

XuaHanNin is working on the art for A Most Unlikely Hero vol. 6. This is a WIP of the front cover. I think it is coming along very nicely.

Has anyone finished reading A Most Unlikely Hero vol. 5? If so, what did you think about it? Did you have fun?

I know it's unseemly to ask, but if you enjoyed A Most Unlikely Hero vol. 5, please consider writing a review on Amazon. Reviews really do help authors out. Like a lot.

Not for awhile. This is on a 6 month release schedule. I publish a book every 6 months.

Brandon, when Volume 6 will be released? This book is too damn amazing!

If you can't fund editor and artist for "A Most Unlikely a Hero" don't force it. Release it at Patreon gradually as web novel, where "latest" 5 (or 10, or even more) chapters are locked behind different Patreon tiers. And when you got enough funds, to fund editor and artist, then just compile released arc of chapters into book and put it onto Amazon with artwork and edited chapters. After all this is how almost all novels made it up there, by starting from being the web novels. Anyway, in my honest opinion it is too early to say that "A Most Unlikely Hero" isn't doing very well, since last volume was only released for about half month.

I don't want to give up, but I also have to be realistic. If I don't make enough money to pay for the artwork of my next book, then I can't publish. That is ultimately the problem. I pay for all my books out of pocket. I don't have a big company behind me, so if I don't make enough to pay for my next book... Anyway, I'm not planning to give up quite yet. I have just been worrying about whether I'll make enough to keep hiring my artist and editor.

I actually found out about your "A Most Unlikely Hero" and "American Kistsune" series purely by mistake, when I wrote wrong words in Amazon's search engine 2 years ago. But when I found out them, I instantly liked them. So don't you dare to give up. Your books are true treasure for people like me that love light novels of such genre. Eventually they will be discovered and revered :)

WarStalkeR

Don't worry about "A Most Unlikely Hero" not doing really well. It is yet to be discovered by people. I mean discovered as light novels truly are. Some novels are discovered years after they released and leave people disappointed, when they suddenly find out that they were axed at 7th volume. So just keep on going and do not give up. Because not a lot people know about you as an author and amazing stories made by you. Your light novels don't pop out as often as suggestions on Amazon of other light novels.

Lol. I think Alex might already have a succubus inside of his mind right now, if you know what I mean. ;-3 I'll consider that. Right now A Most Unlikely Hero isn't doing very well. I actually had trouble paying for the artwork this volume, so whether this gets an after story might depend on how many people are able to support it (I've actually been really worried I might have to ax the story like some unpopular manga have had happen), but it would be fun to write more shenanigans after the main plot is resolved.

I absolutely support full harem made of all relevant girls to Alex. You can even throw succubus into pack, to make sure that she "keeps" Alex "healthy" up for entire harem. What I wanted to do is give you suggestion regarding far, far away plans. When the "main" story will "end" I suggest you to continue it as "after-story" arc, similar to what was (actually, still is continued to be) done in Web Novel version of Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou (179 chapters of main story are "completed" and 164+ chapters of after-story and still "ongoing") that allows to keep it endless, fun, interesting and ecchi at the same time.

I'm glad you had fun with this one. Yeah, Alex is a bit slow, but there's a reason for that. Fortunately, I have a plan for the next volume that I think you'll approve of. No spoilers though. ;-) That's a long time to finally resolve something. XuaHanNin is definitely an amazing artist. She has some great art, though I think my other artists are good too. She does a really good job of making my characters super cute and sexy.

Just finished reading "A Most Unlikely Hero Vol. 5" - I'd say it's almost perfect, Alex is a little (?) bit slow on accepting his own feelings. On the other side, I'm reading another light novel "The New Gate" and MC there accepted his own feelings and moved on only by the end of 12th vol. Also, XuaHanNin's artwork is my favorite too. In my opinion, all artwork of all your books should've been done by XuaHanNin from the very begining.

WarStalkeR

Yeah... XuaHanNin just nails the characters. The all look so cute and yet sexy.

So XuaHanNin's artwork is your favorite? Thanks. I really do appreciate the help. :-)

Thank you!

Art's coming along nicely. I think this series might be my favorite art as well as story. Just full of win. Man I still need to get around to my Amazon review. I think I am actually a few behind. If work gets quiet tomorrow I'll get on to that.

That's even more awesome! Seriously, I think I've just discovered the Einstein of Harem light novels!

Chris Turney

Sandalphon is the name of an angel from Christian mythology. Date a Live used Christian myth like I did for my series.

Dude... Date a live? If so, you're a freaking genius.

Chris Turney

Ah. So I did name him in volume 5. I couldn't remember if it was volume 5 or volume 6.

Asmodeus was referring to the Angelisian as Sandalphon

Thanks!

Chris Turney

Nice!

Chris Turney

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it! The daemon's name is Asmodeus. I don't think I've mentioned the Angelisian's name. ;-)

It was Amazing! I read and reviewed it within a couple days. I absolutely loved the fact that Alex had two others in his head, and they keep fighting and distracting him constantly! It's super funny! I keep forgetting the real name of the daemon though... If you've said it. I kinda feel silly for asking, but what are the names of the daemon and the sealed anglesian?

Chris Turney

I hope you've been enjoying it. :)

Awesome! I hope it's a good reread. :-)

I'm about 50% through I think. Probably be done with it by Thursday.

Arthur V.

Just wrapped 3 in my re-read, so Number 5 soon looking forward to it and 6 :)
