Wow, what a, let's say confused, person. He shouldn't have gone off script, it failed. He should stick to the party line, that fails as well but not as bad this nonsense. I think maybe he got embarrassed in a maths lesson and wants to show no, he does understand, and his "understanding" lets him prove what he wants, regardless of the rules of maths.

Fred Smith

Kind of nice to know I'm not the only one who largely only uses one headphone when at the computer. Just easier to hear what's going on elsewhere

Curtis Rogahn

I can just about guarantee that this guy thinks Jesus IS God. There's no distinction.

Logicked

Still stupid - it would be more like, these 4 guys knew that greatest mathematician and they wrote down some of it but one said that the great mathematician said that pi was 3 and one said it was 22/7 and one said that it was 3.14, and the last one didn't mention it all - that is the gospels. But, it turns out they were all lying.

QuebecCity Oliver

I think the math tutor was Jesus and not God.

ConstraintAutomaton

"You should really have this guy tutor you!! He won't help you, but he WILL scam the system!! ...but just a warning, he's a little 'eccentric'. For some reason, he also prefers to sabotage himself in the process."

Tony Query

Exactly. It's not like it's a terrible analogy (albeit a little convoluted plot-wise), but instead of explaining the concept, he demonstrated how absurd the whole thing is. Literally the opposite of his intention.

Tony Query

He tells you after you get the "A" and he takes the "F" to tell others about him and learn from him....why? Why would anyone want to learn from this perfect mathematician who just got an "F" on his paper. They would want to learn from the guy who just got an "A"

DANNY JENSEN

Honestly, as an analogy for how completely *stupid* the whole "dying for our sins" concept is in Christianity, I think it pretty much spot-on nails it. What's sad is he doesn't even seem to realize any of this.

David Johnson

I see a lot of this stuff, but this one was something truly special in its absurdity.

Logicked

The sheer confidence in his absurd analogy!! Not only did it give him comfort, but he thought the analogy was good enough to make a video and share with others!! Unbelievable.

Tony Query

Oh my god, how does this analogy make things make more sense to him?! If anything, it demonstrates how dumb and unjust the original scenario was!! I am a former Christian and even I can't understand the mental gymnastics so people do because they clearly have issues with the doctrine. Sad, really.
