Severance Season 2 EP 10 Uncut

Comments

I actually really enjoyed the second season, despite its slower pace. The concept is so intriguing, and I think they built this season around the ending. The finale cleverly twists the Greek tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice, with both characters having split personalities. Mark's joke about Devon being Persephone in episode 2 foreshadowed this brilliantly. Just as Orpheus looks back and dooms Eurydice to the underworld, our Mark looks back to see 'Hell'y, dooming himself. But now, they control the floor with Milchick as a prisoner giving them access to wherever the security room is now. By banding with the other departments, the innies flip the script and have all the power. Imagine the outies only being able to survive on the innies terms with a glasgow block or access to the outside with unlimited overtime contingency. Let the rebellion begin! I think it sets up the next season perfectly.

Sorry you had to watch that finale. So terrible lol. Stupid stupid ending. Tells me they didnt know how to end it. Needed an ending to get to season 3 and they will just figure out the details later.

You summed up a lot of my problems with this season. It’s like they’re afraid to change the status quo because they want the show to last as long as possible.

I agree wholeheartedly with your take on Season 1 vs. Season 2. Season 2 was so damn slow at moving the plot forward — even for a show that’s notoriously slow — with a payoff that had me like… o…k…. I get it, but most of the episodes felt like filler. They’d get right to the brink of something good, and then the plot would just stall or fizzle out. All in all, it had its moments, but the wrap-up was just alright. The way Harmony talked was so damn annoying I wanted to slap her. And I guess the hole in Mark’s head closed up enough for him to be running around the halls and getting into fights? (Sorry, nurse brain.) Yeah, I’d tune in for a Season 3, but honestly, I wouldn’t care if they ended it here either.
