Re: screenwriting, a fun interview with the writer of My Cousin Vinny. https://youtu.be/9OB4oPgsvsk

If you’re ever in Chicago, check out the Movie Box Theatre. The classic movie screenings I’ve been to around the country can be low turn outs, but Chicago turned UP for that! 😀

Kaitlin

That’s awesome! Sounds like an experience!!

James Adams

I mentioned before I saw The Apartment in a packed cinema and everyone GASPED when he opened the cracked mirror. Loudest laughs and biggest reactions I’ve ever had at the movies!

Kaitlin

Nice both are so good! I like it when there's an oldie and a "newer" one winning ('91 may not seem "newer," but the list is endless with great classics from before even like the '80s and the '70s were even regarded as "New Hollywood" which still makes sense considering how forms and styles changed so drastically then)

That comment brightened my day

Watching Barton Fink while putting off Miller’s Crossing feels appropriate haha

Michael Proch

Very happy to see The Apartment as one of the winners.

JL Green

I absolutely delighted by it, but I am a little surprised we were able to Barton Fink and A Serious Man majority of the votes before Miller's Crossing. It is a very pleasant surprise.

Penultimate Tommy Wiseau

Nice. Two great films for screenwriting.

Tetley

HAHA I'm glad. Please do. I rewatchwd it recently and it blew me away. The cinematography, acting, effects. Wow.

Your name gets me every time lol. It’s one of the films I’ve only seen once as a kid so revisiting would be pretty fun!

James Adams

James, having recently rewatched E.T. and crying like a bitch, I'd love to see your reaction (whether you've seen it or not).

Looks like it can be rented on youtube

Yours truly, Johnny Dollar
