Orbitals are a species of blue-skinned humanoid known for their benevolent and mysterious nature. They are extremely powerful, with timeline manipulation abilities otherwise rarely seen throughout The Tingleverse. They can influence matter, energy, and even time at will, a skill that they wield with such ease and grace that some scholars believe orbitals are responsible for tales of angels and miracles in ancient religious texts.

This species is tall and slender. They have four fingers at the end of each limb and six eyes, which do not contain a pupil or an iris. Instead, these eyes present as stark, colorful bulbs with an ever changing hue.

The hue of orbital eyes is always matched with the color of a strange sphere that constantly hovers above their head. It’s believed this sphere is not a tool, but a biological extension of the orbital’s physical body. From observation, it appears this hue will change depending on an orbital’s mood, but the colors often do not match our preconceived notions of emotional significance. For instance, and orbital with a ferociously blood red hue to their sphere is said to be experiencing a state of deep calm.

Orbitals interact with this timeline very rarely, with sightings occurring approximately once every decade. These are, of course, only the encounters that humans are aware of, which is worth considering given the incredible power of orbitals. When an orbital is witnessed, this is intended by the creature. The purpose this serves is unknown.

This bizarre species usually arrives on our timeline for events that would later be deemed gravely important or historically significant. It is also believed that their appearance is a good omen, and that whatever future lies waiting for the subjects of this encounter is a grand one. Orbitals have adjusted the early lives of the words most well-known artists, public figures, and humanitarians.

Orbitals do not speak, but communicate through psychic means. They do not use words or images, but somehow impart knowledge and understanding in a way that immediately enters the subject’s mind as though it’s something they’ve always known.
