(Timeline Tuesday #99)
Poizones are a species of proficient timeline travelers, originally from a distant reality, but who now exist as a nomadic society that spreads across numerous worlds. They are humanoid in appearance, featuring light blue skin that is thick and leathery. Despite wearing clothing, Poizones never wear shoes, exposing their three-toed feet. The face of this species is long and gaunt, hosting a small, low-set mouth, two slits for a nose and a pair of dark blue eyes that are set deep into their head. Poizones are completely hairless, and their bald cranium is slightly elongated.
This species has a deep, innate obsession with poisons, toxins, and deadly chemicals. Poizones manufacture and collect any substance that produces a negative effect on those who encounter it, and this obsession is what drives their timeline exploration. This species is constantly seeking out new, rare poisons, and while their vaguely scientific motivation can be admired, they are still seen as nefarious creatures.
The timeline traveling abilities of poizones are not innate, but carried out with the help of small mechanical pods that are constructed by poizone engineers. These pods are technological marvels, showcasing the poizones’ vast intellectual capabilities, as well as their singular focus on advancement in service of gathering more toxins.
Poizone vehicles are costly to maintain and fuel, so the travel of this species is funded through the sale of various toxins. Poizones are known for their long cloaks, which hold a number of noxious vials and serve as a traveling storefront wherever they end up.
