Brindlebrains are strange and mysterious creatures from a distant timeline. These creatures appear as a bulbous pink brain, approximately three feet across and sporting ten slender appendages that protrude evenly along either side of their body. These slender tentacles are quite powerful, although they’re not quite strong enough to carry a brindlebrain and serve as legs. Instead, these long appendages are used to crawl through the thick vegetation of a brindlebrain’s wilderness habitat, the body of this creature hanging down but never touching the ground. Brindlebrains are incredibly sensitive, completely unprotected from physical harm. Their entire lives are spent swinging above the ground, always hanging as they move from place to place.

This species has an incredibly powerful brain, capable of various psychic and telekinetic powers, however unlike most mentally-gifted species the brindlebrain is rather unintelligent. Brindlebrain behavior is similar to that of a wild animal, running mostly on instinct while wielding it’s psychic abilities to hunt and hide.

Brindlebrains can lift approximately two hundred pounds of weight with their mental powers at any given time. They can start fires through sheer will and create a powerful psychic blast that will stun any living creature within twenty yards. Most of their hunting involves using this ability to stun small birds or mammals, which are then consumed through a mouth at the base of the brindlebrain. This species can also create vivid illusions in the mind of even the most perceptive targets, crafting entire scenes that are not really happening. However, most of the time brindlebrains just use this ability to remove themselves from the conscious awareness of any potential threats.

Because of this, brindlebrains are incredibly difficult to track and study.
