Wandles are small, three-foot tall humanoids with a constant skyward gaze. They have no neck or head, instead featuring their eyes, nose and mouth upon their upper chest. This placement is part of the creature’s unique upward-facing position, and while other species might draw tired of this view, it is perfect for wandles.
These creatures have skin similar to that of a human, and long arms and legs that lead to four digit hands. They speak in a simple language, conveying basic messages to one another through a series of long sighs or groans.
The most distinct thing about wandles, however, is their personality. These creatures are known for their constant state of awe and appreciation. They are always impressed by even the simplest things, and completely blown away by rare sights. They tend to wander around aimlessly, which is where they derive their name, but the excited cries of fellow wandles will usually cause a group to gather near notable sights. At any major tourist destination, you are likely to find a few wandles.
These creatures are particularly affectionate toward natural wonder. Wandles are especially entranced by large trees, mountains and stars.
Unfortunately, the lack of awareness wandles display for their earthly surroundings is their greatest downfall. They are a frequent target for natural predators, and can only survive as a species because there are so many of them. A single wandle brood will typically produce one to two hundred creatures.
