I agree about the fan above. I thought they were going to go full Scarlet Pimpernel in the beginning but then they didn't. Also the time gap at the end. WHY so many years. I thought a shorter time gap like 6 months would have made more sense.

2023-12-09 14:38:37 +0000 UTCI guess this is too late for the pod, but here are some extra thoughts/questions in no particular order: - The violence and torture was often a lot to take in, but also the reason I had to keep on watching, 'cause how on earth could these two get to be together? -Loved the resilience, resourcefulness and fire in Gil Chae (though at the slave market I feared that that fire was gone). What other FL can you compare her with? - I looked up some of the historic events, but does anyone know if the king really feared a coup by the crown prince and if the crown princess indeed was accused of treason? Like to know where reality ends and fiction begins. - A lot already has been said about the double amnesia. Just two extra notes. (1) I guess the second amnesia is necessary to let him live off grid for years and (2) because you know he regained his memory before, this gives hope that he will regain it again. - I kept being distracted by him waving that fan... Still don't get why he has a fan. But the bottom line is that they will be hugging on that beach in my mind for a long time. And if a drama does that, it's a good one.
