I finally got a clear week - first one since early November - and indeed I suddenly looked down to find myself doing chores and idly sketching, cuz it was the immense pain blocking me.
I decided to devote a day to trying to make sketchbook works that were worthy of sharing. And I made a few! (Sorry for focusing on counting stripes and forgetting pants, Nate. I want a ref sheet for her and Aaron, and it’s ridiculous how it’s been 5 years with that mission and I still haven’t had the health improvement to follow through!)
It maaaaaay be unrelated, but my drawing arm promptly exploded into crippling intense muscle spasms that erased all progress. I’m currently in bed at 4pm, because I can’t hold up to the action of… petting my cats with my bad arm. And holding my phone to stave off insanity may cause more harm!
Btw, @chrispco on Twitter has the sketches and kitty stuff in my less-depressing media tab, and Chrispco on Blue Sky has cat pics too. Haven’t been able to do any communication but blurting something out in a moment when my mind snaps to. Composing actual stuff ain’t happening.
But we know if I can finally get over the hump, and not Sisyphus right as things are promising, I’ll go right back to being the me I know is still there under all the trauma and pain, waiting for his chance.
