2022-02-07 14:58:52 +0000 UTCI had THE WORST IANAR hangover too, so feel you on this. I am pondering a rewatch!

2022-02-06 20:51:19 +0000 UTCI’m on the OBS bandwagon. I watched it pretty quickly and liked it, but now I’m going through it again, slowly, and savoring the filming, framing, and lighting. I especially love the staging of Ung/Woong’s living room and studio with the large window and trailing plants as a backdrop. The story is simple on the surface, but as the backstories unfold there’s relatable trauma that makes the decisions and behaviors of the characters so understandable – it was heartbreaking but still funny and sweet. Plus I’ve been listening to the OST on repeat – it’s sublime.

2022-02-06 18:33:35 +0000 UTCI stayed up late on Thursday to finish I Am Not a Robot (INAR) and it was soooo good. So grateful to Lia, Amy and Megan for convincing me to check out this underrated drama. I’m not ready to let it go. We hosted some friends for dinner last night, so I spent Friday evening and most of Saturday in the kitchen. In between chopping and stirring and sautéing etc, I re-listened to the AD podcast about INAR as well as replayed some of my fave scenes/episodes on my iPad. Although the dinner was lovely, there was a part of me that really just wanted to curl up on the sofa by myself to re-watch the drama! I had been watching The Crowned Clown before picking up INAR. It is very well written and acted, etc. but it’s also pretty heavy. I probably have about 5 episodes to go. I may go back to finish that before picking up something new. And I have a couple of other dramas last year that I was enjoying but which I dropped because I wasn’t in the right headspace for K-dramas so maybe I should go back to those (Yumi’s Cells and Live Up to Your Name). Or maybe I’ll give in to the temptation of something new, like Happiness or The Red Sleeve. Sigh, so many dramas, so little time!

2022-02-06 14:59:17 +0000 UTCOoh, thanks for the nudge. I’ve been meaning to go to this one but for some reason I’ve been holding back. I don’t know whether it’s because I’m afraid it won’t live up to the hype or whether I’m afraid or will spoil me for anything else! But this time last year I ventured into Misaeng, which I absolutely adored, so maybe 2022 is My Mister’s time.

2022-02-06 14:37:39 +0000 UTCFinished quite a lot this week! Mad about Each Other - loved it, so much depth for a short drama - also found the podcast hilarious -mainly for Amy’s eyerolls (which we could feel through the airwaves) over the never ending fart jar story 🤣 Finished Come and Hug Me, which is a poor man’s Flower of Evil. After such a strong start, draggy and not enough conflict, not enough BUTTER and worst barely any romance :( Have started Singles Inferno to cleanse me of psychopathic serial killer - which I am LOVING and stayed up way too late to watch last night. Still watching Moonshine as it drops, still enjoying. Pondering what next. Might have to be Our Beloved Summer to see what the hype is.

2022-02-06 14:36:42 +0000 UTCI have been re-watching it just for those strong women. The romances are pretty good too.

2022-02-06 14:10:30 +0000 UTCStarted several shows last week and the only one I've wanted to watch is Search WWW. For some reason I thought it was about a search for a treasure/inheritance but it's got high-tech, 3 strong female leads, and romance. I'm only a few epsidoes in, but it feels like lots of plot twists await

2022-02-06 02:17:07 +0000 UTCJust finished Dr. Romantic 2 and I think I’ll try Be Melodramatic next!

2022-02-06 01:55:46 +0000 UTCI’m all about the last two episodes of Bulgasal releasing this weekend. I don’t know why I like this show so much, but I do. A lot of that is due to Lee Joon’s malevolent villain; he’s great in it!

2022-02-05 22:44:08 +0000 UTCI loved An Incurable Case of Love!! And it's sweet and short. The FL is sooo sweet and cute, not too much for me and seeing her melt the male's heart is lovely.

2022-02-05 22:22:21 +0000 UTCI finished Inspector Koo, which in the end I didn’t really love. Good acting but ultimately the cat and mouse stuff didn’t float my boat. But after seeing a video clip from An Incurable Case of Love, I found it on Viki, and I am loving it. I’m already on Episode 8 of 10. Young nurse is hopelessly and openly in love with a doctor who is called the Devil by everyone except his patients. He is a perfect example of tsundere! And the ML, Satoh Takeru, is not hard on the eyes.
