*FULL UNCUT* Glee 2x19 reaction - "Rumours"

I totally agree with you. While Seasons 1-3 are definitely peak Glee I also think Seasons 4-6 aren't as bad as they are made out to be. I definitely think there are some quality episodes in Seasons 4-6 while there are also some episodes that aren't great but at the same time Glee has always had episodes that were a mix of both a comedy and a drama but it has also had a little bit of a satire element (which I feel like some people forget so clearly some moments that happen are clearly meant to be over-exaggerated/satire moments). Some of the episodes in seasons 4-6 aren't a mix of comedy and drama but actually either comedy or drama episodes while in Season 5 you have the Christmas episode that was essentially a full-on comedic satire episode. I think the bigger issue people have with Seasons 4-6 is the addition of new characters. I think adding new characters wasn't the best idea not because of the characters themselves it is just that the cast of Glee was already big so adding the new characters does take focus away from some established characters (some established characters from Seasons 1-3 are seen more often while some are seen less often).

I would say, keep an open mind about season 4. I don’t love it but I don’t think it’s as bad as it’s made out to be. Most of the people I’ve talked to who are watching for the first time, like it more than they thought they would. I will say 100% seasons 4-6 are not as good as 1-3 but there is a lot of good things about them that still make the show enjoyable. I agree this episode is a lot slow. Next episode is my favorite of the whole show so I hope you enjoy it a little more ❤️

I wouldn’t say that necessarily but the glee writers butchered a lot of the characters in season 4 and did not know what they were doing so it ended up being a little worse.

Yeah, you can pretty much stop watching by the end of season 3 and later watch the episodes where Santana is in since she's the only one that remains fun and interesting.

Yes Season 4 does introduce new characters. Some characters that appeared in the first 3 seasons appear in different capacities in seasons 4 through 6 (some appear more and some appear less). I won't spoil which characters appear more or less aside from Finn and Brittany. The only reason I say those 2 is because of different real life events happen with the actors so they aren't seen. Finn appears in Season 4 but isn't there the whole season so Finn's last episode is episode 4x19 (Cory went to rehab but unfortunately passed away in between the break of Season 4 and Season 5 he actually did the promotional photography for Season 5 with the other cast members less than a month before he passed away). In Season 5 and 6 Finn does appear in some episodes but it is through flashback footage and audio we as the audience have seen. Brittany appears in Season 4 but doesn't appear in many episodes of Season 5 because Heather Morris (Brittany) was pregnant in real life (it will be a while from now before you react to it but if you pay close attention in the season 4 finale you can see Heather Morris' baby bump and you'll notice she also keeps covering her stomach even though she is wearing oversized clothing) so Brittany only makes a few appearances in the second half of the Season 5 and makes appearances in Season 6.
