I think now that I look at this GIF, the number of moves at the top of the puzzle doesn't immediately catch my eye. Do you feel the same way? If so, maybe I should move it somewhere more visible. I really like having it there aesthetically though.

Also I think the placement of the number is good but because it lacks of contrast it get lost pretty easily with all those black lines
