Next Feature (January 2022)
Added 2022-01-07 17:34:24 +0000 UTCThe results of the feature poll for January are tied between Scenario Editor Overhaul and Narrative. No, it doesn't mean I'll be adding both!
I know the game wouldn't be what it is today without the efforts of creators, so I believe the editor overhaul will be better for the future of the game.
The editor was created when the game first launched in 2017 and very few changes have come to it. It was a simple way to create small scenarios, but as the game has grown, many problems have emerged with it.
It's slow for large scenarios. The UI is cumbersome and as a result, creating a scenario seems daunting. How do we improve it? Here are some guidelines:
Make it faster
Make it easier to use
Save progress
How do we do all that? Your suggestions are welcome, and here's my design:

Two column layout, with scenario menu on the left, and the item you're editing on the right. Once you click edit/create scenario, a draft version of the scenario is created, which auto saves after every action (e.g if you edit a superstar's age). Once you are finished, you can click 'Publish', which creates the scenario or adds a new version.

If you click on a menu item, the relevant details show up. In this case, you see main roster superstars, with search and sort options.
You can add another superstar, or click 'Back' to go back to the scenario menu. If you click on a superstar, their details show up on the right. Here you can edit/remove them. This way you only focus on one thing at a time, while the current editor loads all possible data.
I might also add an import option to import/export details via excel (csv format), which will fill in the fields.
This is just a rough first draft, and I'll be adding more to it as I work on the feature. But I'd like scenario creators' suggestions on how the whole UI can be improved. Come join the discussion in the early-access channel in the discord.
Thanks for voting and reading!

there will be an easy way to move superstars between rosters. adding gimmick match effects for events sounds good. I'll see if I can add that in. there's no system to recognize or boost annual tournaments, but maybe once that is added we can do this.
2022-01-13 17:39:54 +0000 UTCyes, either the data will auto save upon each action as a draft, or a 'save draft' button will need to be pressed when you want to save it.
2022-01-08 09:01:33 +0000 UTCI suggest two separate save options: 1. **Save Data** to save the info as is which you can do regardless of all the fields filled in correctly 2. **Publish** which sets the version ready to play, and cannot be implemented without all the fields filled in correctly.
