Angel - 2x12 “Blood Money” FULL REACTION

Another one that really gets me is David's delivery of (paraphrasing) "you screw with me, and you screw with me, and you screw with me. And now I get to screw with you. That's gonna be great!"

KT

This episode is pretty underrated tbh, I've always really enjoyed it too. The whole theme of what goodness means is so interesting when it comes to a character like Angel, who was for a long time defined by polarity: Angel vs Angelus. And lately, Angel has decided that W&H being evil means that hurting them is always ultimately good. But here we have Anne, who sacrifices every day to help the helpless and is willing to compromise her ethics a little to do so. And Angel of all people is caught off guard about it because he hates W&H that much.

I love jumpy Lilah. It humanizes her, and Angel seizes on that by playing up Dracula around her with the appearing and vanishing. It makes me giggle to think about Angel coming up with how to play on people's weaknesses to con them, but then I remember that it's very Angelus-y, and I'm creeped out.

Frazzled Lilah is my favorite. Stephanie is so good at that.

Miah

"Boo-hoo! Let me wipe away the tears with my plastic hand!" Always makes me laugh even though I think Lindsey totally deserved it. I love seeing Gunn, Wesley, and Cordy bond, even though the fakeout opener reminds me of Angel and Wesley in "Eternity" and makes me miss that friendship.

Rachael

I don't think it's even subtle. Even today in 2019, people are raging about Watchmen for being "too woke" because of ratings. 🙄Bigots will always look for ugly motivations.

Rachael

Anne is a nice touch, especially since it shows she obviously got her life together after Buffy helped her, and is now committed to helping other young people going through the same thing she did. :)

I love too that they brought back Anne. No spoilers, but they go back to minor characters a couple of times on Buffy and Angel, and every time it feels like a nod to the fans that are paying attention.

". . .making your character gay, is that, like, all about ratings because I don't get it." Subtle dig toward people bitching about Willow/Tara?
