Awww after a stress evening this was perfect♥️😍🥹 It’s in my top 10. I have loved someone who was bipolar and I have dealt with ptsd, this is a most accurate depiction of mania and trauma. The fast pacing is part of the craft. From camera work, to the “out of place” scene, if one feels there is one…it is by design. Captures the essence of the internal mind. While finding the beautiful mess that makes bipolar and trauma human. Brilliant. The dialog. And the performance of it, was theatrical. Which replicates the art of mental “differences” —- instead of using illness. Empowering for people. Only negative for me is the spin shot in the kiss. Too much. The rest is flawless. 😊😊😊😊😊🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😤😤😤

Had/have some friends with bipolar myself and although it presents itself in different ways, some of the manic and really stressful 150% thought racing Bradley portrays is spot on for at least one of them. The no filter thing is a bit more specific and not necessarily a common thing, but I love how you as a viewer can really feel the frantic nature of the whole thing from the start. Well done Bradley and movie :-)

this movie hits so close to home for me. As someone with a personality disorder and depression this movie means a lot to me. I also know people with bipolar disorder and in my opinion it's a really good representation of that. Especially the scene when they are at the dinner table and talk about their medication - it always makes me laugh. I can really relate since I'm familiar with a lot of them. It's also so realistic how you often feel alienated from everyone else and it's so good that Pat meets someone who understands him better than anyone else. And of course it's not going to be under control...it really can't be. But you also can't sit in a psychiatric hospital forever, you have to get out eventually. Even if you don't have control over yourself sometimes. You can't let it define your whole life because people are more than their mental illness. But you can see how much Tiffany helps him and he helps her. The movie is also so funny and it gives you a lot of hope. I love it. It was nominated for 7 oscars (best picture, directing, script and all for actors (Cooper, Weaver, De Niro and Lawrence) Jennifer Lawrence won for best actress when she was just 22. Robert De Niro gives in my opinion his best performance of the last twenty years, maybe more. You can see how committed he was to the role, which is something I really missed a lot from him in the last years. (Irishman and Joker not included). He's wonderful. So is Jackie Weaver and Bradley Cooper is alsways great of course. ❤
