Thunderbolts* | Full Length Reaction + Watch-along!⚡️

It wasn't an accident that this film was released during Mental Health Awareness month (or maybe it was.)

I thought about Kingdom Hearts as well! I love that it reminded me of it! Glad I wasn't the only one. I cried so hard during the group hug scene. Just the idea of my friends physically stopping me from hurting myself. It was a lot. It was the kind of cry that makes your whole body feel light and tingly. And Lewis Pullman was perfect. He reminds me so much of his dad.

I've been saying at this point they need to do something like youtube videos which area a kind of 'Previously in the MCU' that gives a quick run through of what you need to know

Marvel did make the mistake of expecting the casual viewers to do their Disney+ homework which most will not be willing to do. So naturally a lot of people end up feeling a little lost when they try to jump into one of the movies again. Tough tightrope to walk when they need to introduce new characters and expand the universe without losing the general audience.

The AUDACITY of Walker saying "On your left". 😲 That MUTHAWALKA!

Dammit, all these reactors just SKIPPING ahead to Thunderbolts is so frustrating. Would be fine if it was one or two of my favorite reactors, but this is like the THIRD I've been a/is a patron of. Imagine you were watching Breaking Bad and you skipped half a season. That's what's it's like. Just setting themselves up for confusion later when plot points from those skipped are brought back up in future films, which leads to continued less investment. Examples: When 616 Wolverine finally shows up "WHERE DID THEY GET THE ADAMANTIUM?!" When Peter Quill shows up again "Where are all the rest of The GOTG?!" "why is Hawkeye now a girl? who's this light crystal hands chick?" etc... This is NOT a film that is self contained. it's a chapter of the continuing story of these characters. You'd already have a better understanding of how corrupt Val at the start if you'd watched Wakanda Forever. It's a quality film with deep emotion. Angela Bassett got the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress and was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in it. They were well deserved.
