Added 2025-07-21 23:38:19 +0000 UTCGuys... we are finally on the final episode of the notoriously famous anime, Death Note. This has become a staple in anime, deemed so influential and popular - and for good reason. It was an absolute wild ride. But like all journeys, they have to come to an end.
We are now OFFICIALLY done with Death Note and will be continuing our anime journey with the next season of Demon Slayer - Season 4!!! I have been MISSING TANJIRO AND OUR CREW so it'll be a nice change of pace! Although we're done with Death Note, the emotional roller coaster will not be stopping since Demon Slayer really knows how to make a girl cry LMAO

I actually like the ending of the live-action Japanese films better. Its mostly the same but they skip the orphanage with new "L" type characters completely and L has a better ending, and that isn't a spoiler btw, lol, its still wild and you will never guess how it ends based on that, lol. I just feel that when L died, the writer felt like he made a mistake and had to write himself out of the corner he painted himself into by flushing out the end of Light's story. The orphanage with new "L" type of characters just felt very forced and wedged in to finish Light's story. Overall, its a good anime, not my favorite but good. There are better ones but Death Note probably influenced a lot anime writers that came after and wrote even better stories, imho. Its a cool and fresh idea of a story but based on how anime is today, its kinda like watching old sitcoms. They pushed the envelope on norms, at the time, that ended up giving us the what we have today. The problem of desensitization, I guess, lol. I didn't watch this anime when it came out and people were talking about it, also, so maybe that's why it didn't blow my mind like it has in others, lol.
