BUT HEAR ME OUT - I had seen a looooot about this movie and the cast impressed me - so I wanted to give it a shot! All I’m gonna say is… A24 has been bringing it with its shocking drama/horror films lately and I am SO here for it 🖤

I know some unicorn lore, mostly from fantasy jrpgs and irl mythical legends. Jrpgs do tend to report a lot of mythical lore correctly since there is so little lore out there on it. The link between maidens and unicorns is there, except its usually just "pure" maidens and not "pure of heart", often translated as virgin and/or young maidens. And they are aggressive in the lore, which makes sense since any animal with horns irl does use them as weapons and defense. Then you have that unicorn blood does heal. Most everything after that is probably added for the plot or is something I don't know. I got my hands on as much mythical lore as I could when I was younger but unicorns were of little interest to me back then, lol.
