At the age of 53 Madonna’s halftime show broke a record. For the first time ever the halftime show had more viewers than the game itself. It also became the most watched halftime show ever ! She premiered the song Gimme All Your Love from her new album MDNA here and the video was released two days prior. Also after this performance tickets for her new World Tour went on sale. She ones again proved that she was still the Queen of pop ! Love your Madonna reactions!

Aside for being movie royalty Elizabeth Taylor was one of the early and loudest advocates for those living with HIV/AIDS. Madonna was also an early outspoken advocate for those living with HIV/AIDS. The entrance was inspired by Cleopatra's Entrance in Rome from the 1963 epic Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor https://youtu.be/s6QYHLRngbI?si=XDWzLtdXAWG3tAAJ (Rome didn't allow foreign kings and queens inside it's walls and thats Constantine's Triumph Arch so totally anachronistic but majestic). So the Superbowl the high temple of toxic masculinity was countered by f*g hag paying tribute to another f*g hag while singing a song celebrating queer culture. Transaggressive and punk rock. Madonna at the time had 121 million households tune in 5 million more than the game that year and for a couple years the most watched show on us tv history and is still the only halftime show to have more viewers than the game and the first female singer to solo headline the halftime show since Diana Ross in 1996.

Her entrance was inspired by Cleopatra’s entrance to Rome. Such a goddess. It’s amazing to me how they got that giant LED stage set up, and also removed in a matter of minutes. Amazing. She makes very good use of these LED stages during her Sticky and Sweet, MDNA tours. Both shows are absolutely incredible. Hope you’re feeling better Steven. So… Whatever happened to CeeLo Green and MIA?

Glad to see you posting again, but please take care of yourself. I believe that the choir, the drummers, and the men pulling the throne were all local people from the areas in and around Indianapolis. I remember seeing a behind the scenes video about it. Also, I think this was actually the debut of the song Give Me All Your Lovin' before she went on tour for MDNA. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

You didn’t sound yourself in the uploads you posted yesterday. If it is Covid, hope the recovery is swift. I caught Covid only once. Typically while I was on a cruise so between Seattle and Santa Barbara is was cabin confined. Missed San Francisco and ruined my holiday. But could have been worse. Best wishes. Daniel
