Video Game Cultivator: Some images from the developing ad campaign

Respectfully, I don't know how to illustrate and don't have the money to hire an illustrator. I am not making an entire business model around using AI, but simply using it to create a visualization that otherwise wouldn't exist. AI is a devil to some but it also empowers creators like me (and others) who would otherwise never have access to visual content. The insinuation that my written work might be AI hurt my feelings a bit. This is not really a place nor am I really the person to debate the ethics of AI with. Thanks for the feedback, I'll take it into consideration

I've enjoyed the story until now (wouldn't have subscribed on Patreon to read more if I wasn't enjoying it) but the fact that these image generating models are fed pretty much exclusively with stolen creative work kind of makes their use disgusting to me. Especially when you're using their output to advertise another creative work. Makes me wonder if the text I am reading is even the work of a human to begin with. When presented with that reasonable doubt, why should people read this story here and not an AI generated rendition of the same events sold on kindle unlimited by someone else instead, y'know? The whole ai-generated-artworks thing is just kind of gross and really poisons otherwise good content. This whole story just feels a notch or two less enjoyable now y'know? I'd rather have mspaint-with-a-mouse-stickmen for ads and a cover than something ai generated. Even plain low resolution text or something. I am very much enjoying the story now but if I had discovered it via this as an ad I would actually have just put it on the ol' ignore list without even giving it a chance and I see many others expressing similar opinions about AI art. Not trying to insult or anything, just attempting to offer sincere feedback. Feel free to not take it in to account if you feel strongly some other way.

2025-06-02 17:31:30 +0000 UTCI'm actually collabing with a local graphic designer from Kosovo, they're also the ones who made my new profile icon, patreon banner and the tier icons. The plan is to make the stuff with AI because it saves time, even though they could also illustrate it. I'm actually writing a new story now which I'll be able to put more effort into it when I finish my degree. Considering making more images as an accompanigment to that story.

None of these really capture the vibe of the fic. So it's hard to provide any level of critique, though in part due to how my brain is focusing on the AI aspect. Ideally you'd capture something about this tortured but very silly soul that's just telling the stories he knows to survive. So there's probably something there with Elder Flower forcing him to grind more than he otherwise would've. Idk. Unless AI images are the meta on RR. I haven't read much on RR recently.
