BIG ANNOUNCEMENT for Video game cultivator (good news)

As you all know Video Game Cultivator was a story I was commissioned to start about a year ago, of which the first chapter was published 10th of October (One year anniversary soon!)

Now, it's here that I think the commissioner, SouthMonk, did a very smart thing. he gave me the basic concept, but gave me free reign of basically everything else. Thus the story became not just his baby, but our baby (no homo). This means that over the last year I've grown to love the story, Jin and Elder Flower and all of those concepts as much as I like my Harry Evans and my Joey Joestar & Rattata combo.

I've always been a bit too busy to write too far ahead for the story, perhaps subconsciously justifying it that if the commission stops I shouldn't do more work than I should, but I'm happy to announce that I did something out of the norm in regards to that recently.

One reason why the Video Game Developer story tier system works the way it works, namely tier 1 gets everything, is because there was never enough chapters to justify expanding it. The chapters aren't extremely long and also for my Harry Evans story I have five chapters in advance for tier 1, which is as much as Video Game Cultivator has officially starting this month.

However, this is now changing, and just like a cultivator I have spent the last few months working extra hard on the story and the next arc in a cave in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere (obligatory Pristina, Kosovo mention). Quite frankly, I also think that the interlude chapter finding place in chapter 30 might be one of the best chapters yet.

The change is thus as follows, since I now have enough chapters to justify it, and it would make it easier for me logistically to treat all stories in the same way, Video Game Cultivator is going to get expanded to work in the same system as my other two stories.

Tier 1 is 5 chapters advance of public release, tier 2 is 10 chapters in advance of public release and tier 3 will get all chapters in advance.

But Bor902, doesn't that make you a bigger fraud than Gojo and a filthier rat than Shanks, you may ask? After all, on Patreon Video Game Cultivator is released 3 times a month, whereas on public release its only getting 2 updates a month.

Well, don't worry your pretty little head, starting on 1st of October, public release of Video Game Cultivator will switch to one chapter every ten days, so essentially, not much changes.

As for how many chapters in advance I have to create the tier system? Well, you'll be happy to hear that I don't have, 1, I don't have 2, I don't have 3, and neither do I have 4, but 6 chapters in advance.

And I'll be releasing all of them within seven days. Yes, you heard me right, starting tomorrow, until next Thursday, there will be a Video Game Cultivator chapter every day (bro!).

What this should result in is that on the 1st of October, where public release becomes once every ten days, public release will be on chapter 21, tier 1 on chapter 26, tier 2 on chapter 31, and tier 3 on chapter 32 (Tier 3 is a work in progress, but it will be my priority over the next few months to get it to at least 15 chapters in advance, long term goal 20)

To commemorate the one year anniversary of the story on 10th of October, I will be doing a one time vote. I've been listening to your pleas, hearing your prayers, ignoring your butthurt whining.

You'll be happy to hear... That I've decided... That the next piece of media Jin is going to be adapting, will be up to... popular vote...

It can be anime, it can be movies, it will most likely be games, but yes, you can decide what the next project is! This is a vote with a much bigger impact than the usual interlude or first chapter, because the result will impact an entire arc, around ten chapters, so I hope you don't troll me by making me adapt "Amusement park tycoon" ;_; (I would do it though, love :smoochemoji:)

On 1st of October I will put up a post accessible to all members, free and paid, to collect ideas for pieces of media.

On 10th of October I will gather all of these ideas and open a week-long poll.

On 17th October I will alter the plotline document of this story to include the adaptation of what you all collectively decided for.
