Poll End, General update.
Added 2024-02-08 18:01:25 +0000 UTCSo, the poll ended once again, leaving me with the task of writing a pilot chapter for a fic where my Harry Evans, potentially older version, gets summoned by a desperate order of the phoenix. Should be out within a month, so look forward to that.
The next poll is going to be about determining the next interlude for the Harry Evans story, I'll probably do a post gathering ideas on P.O.Vs and then hold the actual vote. In two three weeks probably.
The next chapter of Rattata is going to contain the Sabrina interlude that was decided on, so look forward to that.
Otherwise, I have an exam tomorrow which will determine if I have to switch my minor and start from the beginning, so don't mind me as I go stress out.

Actually went and give the 0800 a read today, was pretty good, but I'll be breaking a few of the summoning fanfic traditions, for the good, hopefully. Let's see

2024-02-09 17:46:17 +0000 UTCSuper happy the Harry Evans summon fic won! 😊 I'll add that it's probably after Voldemort returns, probably with Harry still alive, as that's when they'd become desperate. But not necessarily. Harry could have died from Voldemort, or it could be some point in time later on, like after Dumbledore dies and Hogwarts falls. It mostly exists as a cause for HE to interest with the canon cast, so you choose the situation you'd find most fun or interesting. One idea I also have is that he's summoned via the blood of Lily Potter, not necessarily just Harry Potter's alternate. Perhaps to do with the blood magic or whatever you wanna call it that's HP's protection. Or it could be something else. I'm excited whatever you choose!

2024-02-09 04:36:54 +0000 UTCI can't remember if I recommended the fic that inspired the prompt, but here it is: 0800-Rent-A-Hero: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11160991/0/ Iirc it's the best/most prominent example of that type of fic in Harry Potter. Even though it's merely an AU version summoned rather than an Isekai. Does some other interesting stuff with divination magic iirc. Totally unfinished. But could be good to get your creative juices flowing if you really need more inspiration. Only downside with this one winning is again merely the age of Harry Evans in your current fic so far. And it's not like you'd want to spoil anything in that either. But whatever you do, it could make a good pilot chapter to show interest, and if you fully pick it up in the future, you could modify stuff to make it compliant with future chapters of the HE fic. Like how a lot of full fics arise changed from the snippets that inspire them.
