TBR Schmitt

TBR Schmitt

TBR Schmitt

Yess! Couldn't agree more, Aimee! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

You're totally right, Jonathon! I hadn't even put that together, but he did give Hawk that "star pupil" treatment, when he definitely is invested in Tori! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Aww I love this!!! Absolutely the truth, the sweetest, kindest guy I know :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I think the reason that Sam was more focused on for the fight is because Tori called her out over the school intercom, so in everyone's eyes Sam was the one to point fingers at.

I love Johnny's reaction to the lady at rehab "I'm no quitter." XD In fact Johnny was in rare form the whole episode. :D It sucks that Miguel is angry with Johnny, and Robbie is upset with Daniel, but I love the direction we are headed. I also enjoyed some back story into Kreese. Despite how evil he is, he is still a strong, interesting character that I always liked even in the movies, though it was more of a love to hate relationship. :)

They fight tons of times. They have fought in the past, they fought at the school and they will fight in the future. Realistically Moon's party is the thing that triggered the ***school*** fight. It's very easy to just say logical fallacies and give examples but it's the most simple direct cause leading to the action. I didn't say if they didn't learn karate, I didn't say if Robby told the truth about the medal, I didn't say anything of those things. I said if Moon didn't invite enemies to the party. Moon inviting enemies to the party -> Enemies don't get along -> Cops show up so they can't fight there -> They fight at school the next day. That's important about the cops showing up because that's what prompted the fight to happen at the next time they were all together. Moon's party never happens maybe they fight somewhere else, there's no railing. If Moon didn't throw the party, the fight the way it happened exactly would not have happened. Sure they may have fought somewhere else, but it wouldn't be exactly the same and statistically speaking, it would be some serious Final Destination type stuff if Miguel still ended up in the hospital with a severe spinal injury. I'm not blaming anyone. I just stated facts. <-- this is the biggest take away here is that I am not blaming anyone which was assumed. I don't have a label to throw on it but when someone says someone shouldn't have done something, bringing up 101 ways that problems still could have happened doesn't make that specific thing untrue.

Alex

You can tell he loves playing the character too. He puts everything into it. The subtly in the acting is great.

Donna Castellano

It was cool seeing them right together in this episode but it was short was cool moment

Alfredo Ordonez

I don't think they look up anything. I'm genuinely shocked at how they haven't had the whole show spoiled for them already. I would advise against looking up ANYTHING related to Cobra Kai on ANYTHING until you've seen the whole series.

Alex

There's no shortage of content on YouTube though. lol

Alex

Oh yeah.

Alex

Well they are both, but Hawk wasn't the one not showing up for class. Remember that when Moon broke up with Hawk and he was in the back hitting the bag really furious, that's when Kreese first found the opening to sink his hooks into Hawk. He ain't done with Hawk yet, or any of 'em. Then of course there's Kreese saying "We'll expand our ranks when the time is right" at the end. 🤐

Alex

It's funny how every time I've seen Martin Kove randomly meet fans on the street when he says good bye to them he always calls their attention and then says "Oh, and remember..... Sweep the leg." lol

Alex

A few more things. I think the cops came in before they were supposed to. I don't think it was Daniel's mistake. It was theirs. Also, "Not Kreese. Kreese is the only one you can't make likable." Cobra Kai writers: Challenge. Accepted.

Raven Dark

Jeez, I forgot how rough that scene with McGuell and Johnny was. LOL When Sam cries, I cry.

Raven Dark

I really like Kreese as a character, too and I'm glad to see him get more character development and depth. He's a bad guy, no doubt, but he's not devoid of all empathy as shown when he helped Tory out. I don't think Kreese is a pure psychopath. He does have a sense of morality, but he values strength above all else. Not only that, I think he truly believes "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger." I think he thinks that he is making these kids stronger and he sees mercy as weak possibly because he might have shown mercy to someone in the past only for it to come back and hurt him.

Jeffrey Miller

I agree with Shawn. This is a case of many things leading the events to where they go. Like Daniel said, "If it weren't for Johnny and me, none of this would be happening". Even if Moon hasn't thrown her "Can't We All Just Get Along" party, the pressure cooker would've popped at some point later down the road. We keep seeing it with Johnny and Daniel. Moments of peace, then something happens and shit pops off. They're both hot headed people. They admit to it, they know it.

Donna Castellano

Don't look up Aeisha! You might come across spoilers related to her

MARK DESANTIS

Looks like they will end season 4 at the end of June. If season 5 is released Jan 1 like the last few, Daniel and Sam will have to wait 6 months. They’ll get a little taste of the frustration we’ve gone through 🤣

Rick Rodriguez (PicoMan Photography)

Terry Silver said something in "Karate Kid III" which I think gives us a clue into Kreese's personality. Remember the scene where Terry shows up at Miyagi's house for the first time and gives the BS story about Kreese dying? He tells Miyagi and Daniel, "John wasn't always like the man you know". Without giving away any details, remember that quote. Stay tuned. Daniel and Johnny would have made for a great buddy cop duo. Daniel the good cop, Johnny the bad cop. I thought it was hilarious when the Tweedledum and Tweedledumbass were so frightened of Daniel and Johnny was genuinely shocked. LOL TBR and Sam, if you liked both of these episodes, you're going to love the rest of the 8 even more especially episodes 4 and 5. Just trust me on this. :)

Jeff Mills

The writers confirmed season 5 is coming in 2022, but tNetflix hasn't given a release date yet.

Stephen King

This show is so great. What makes the grayness of the characters even better is that the original movie trilogy, and especially the first one, really hammered home the good guy/bad guy 80s trope. So now that we’re getting backstory on characters like Johnny and Kreese that lend them dimension and nuance and have alternate sides of the story that show that Daniel is not the perfect golden boy as he’s always been portrayed is awesome. Superb writing.

Aimee

One of the things I love in the second episode is the prize pupil switch. Kreese makes Hawk think he will be the next Champ. But it immediately cuts to the scene showing what Tori has been up to. That combine with helping her out. Makes it clear that Kreese actually wants Tori to be his prize pupil. Also when the do the flashback I was like “KREESE DEVELOPMENT?!?”🤣

Jonathon Dragovan

If they never learned karate it wouldn't have happened either. If Sam didn't drink alcohol. If Robby told the truth about the medal. If Hawk doesn't destroy the dojo. You can't blame one person for an event like that. Every single little thing led to it. Not just Moon throwing a party. This is called the cherry picking fallacy. Pointing out one very specific instance to help a narrative. Teenagers at a high school are not mortal enemies. A mortal enemy implies that they have been enemies for years and a threat on your life.

Shawn Brink

Fun Fact: The guy that played Kreese's bully in the 60s is actually Martin Kove's son Jesse! I guess "No Mercy" literally runs in the family. Hahahahaha. Keep Sam away from hot dogs now. XD

EdmanXERO

Yeah it was something that they said that Moon was the voice of reason. Bringing a bunch of enemies together into one place is not exactly the best thing to do. If not for Moon the school fight would have never happened. Obviously Miguel and Sam's kiss is what made it happen, but Moon's wishful thinking to just invite a bunch of mortal enemies to a party was just like the song. But I mean hey it's all light hearted I love Moon and all. She's just a little too naive with this stuff. The best thing about Moon is that she dumped Hawk and also is the voice of reason when it comes to Yasmin coz Yasmin is just like the stereotypical mean girl on steroids. Most mean girls like that would have stopped being mean after the front wedgie but not Yasmin. She just doesn't know when to stop and just be a normal person. What I mean is like she puts way too much stock on this cool kids loser kids thing, and doesn't realize that they're all just kids and status doesn't truly matter.

Alex

I never thought that the whole cops bum rushing Robby was deliberate. He's a fugitive and so as soon as the cops found out where he was they probably just came. Maybe either Daniel or Robby's mom told the cops to let them talk to him first.. I feel like the cops may have said something like "We'll give you five minutes with him and then we have to take him" and then the conversation with Daniel went on too long and by the time Daniel started talking to him about what was gonna happen next the time was up. Coz you saw that conversation did go on for a bit of time. I like Kreese as a character but definitely see him as the bad guy. They're starting to go into his back story and obviously you will learn more. But I still think of him as a bad guy. Don't think you guys have to worry about liking him in the near future ;) But I love the character. Martin Kove does such a good job and this has really shown his acting abilities I think coz like in the movies he's just a one dimensional bad guy but here there's so much more dialogue and stuff with him. And I love how they gave him a Western style theme like when he first appears at the end of season 1 it's kind of like this Western twang music you'd expect from some Clint Eastwood movie. When I first saw this I totally thought that bully guy was Kreese, coz of the jacket and stuff and the recruiter giving him the pamphlet. They do a good job of psyching you out there but of course TBR coming in (clutch? is that a proper use of the term?) with "Or is this Kreese?" hehe.

Alex

Great reactions guys solid start to season 3 no Aisha not googled it but I do know she was sacked from the show for something she did 🤷 not a fan of moons song lol but bless her for trying , Daniel and Johnny are so hot headed it doesn't take much for them to fall out again lol but it's amusing to watch , not feeling sorry for kreese no matter what I just can't I refuse 😃 glad he helped Tori out though cuz I do like her a lot . Anyways cheers as always for the fun guys 👍

Ian

TBR's heart and compassion always shines through during reactions,he is always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt and a second chance at possible redemption,it is a really respectable trait to have He is also utterly invested in Daniel&Johnny teaming up at some point, the joy he gets in those moments that they do,is totally abundant #TeamMiguel

Duncan

Sweet, thanks.
