Thank you, Catherine! Every episode has just been incredible so far. I'm nervous for what is to come. I can't even imagine what their bodies endured from the climate alone.

It is such a tough watch! I'm nervous for what is to come. I imagine enuresis must have been pretty common with that type of stress and the climate.

Great reaction, touching on the mental and physical effects of war and the difficult environment they fought in. In one of the memoirs, they said their toenails rotted off because of the wet conditions. π£ That horrified me. The Pacific had a much higher percentage of PTSD than Europe did.
That French Canadian, LeClerc, was working in intelligence with the Marines, I think.
Again, Leckie butts heads with his CO, although Larkin was being an ass.
Itβs going to intensify going forward.

This series is so tough to watch, absolutely looking forward to Masters of the Air though. Enuresis is basically urinary incontinence. I think Leckie's was caused by severe sleep deprivation and emotional stress. More common childhood enuresis (bed wetting) has a ton of causes.

The Japanese Pistol was called a Nambu. Much like Americans fighting the Germans treasure hunted for souvenirs like the Luger, Marines often searched for Japanese souvenirs, like the Nambu, Katanas, flags, etc. Also, the pistols do look very similar, so its understandable that's what you thought.
