Fightful caught up with AEW star Deonna Purrazzo at the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis. Sean spoke with the former TNA Knockouts Champion for nearly 15 minutes. The two discussed numerous topics.

Sean began the interview by informing Deonna that a question was submitted by Steve Maclin. The TNA International Champion asked what the name of the Afghanistan province Maclin’s Marine unit was deployed in 2009. Deonna answered correctly and stated it was in Helmand.

Sean mentioned that she has been seen in national commercials for Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Sean mentions the commercials have been seen. She noted the response and shared how fans reached out to say she inspired them to return to school.

The conversation went into Purrazzo and her Vendetta tag partner, Taya Valkyrie. Purrazzo says they were not able to do the job on numerous occasions. She reveals the decision to step away temporarily, regroup, and wait for the opportunity to return. Deonna mentions there was talk about a third member. Deonna emphasized that The Vendetta is not done.

They discussed her surprise inclusion in the legendary FBI (Full Blooded Italians) wrestling stable. Deonna mentions her Italian heritage. Deonna said that High Spots invited her to be in a match, FBI vs. Los Boricuas. She said AEW gave its blessing. Deonna says, “It was so fun... and I had way more fun than I thought I was going to have,”

Sean mentioned a new question he has been asking talent: if they know what their most viewed YouTube clip is. The clip is of her being a match between her and Alisha Edwards. The other video Sean mentioned was another video that had a large number of views, which was a match she had against Shelly Martinez. Another video with many views was a match she had against Nia Jax during her time in WWE.

In closing, Deonna Purrazzo and Sean discussed “Cinematic matches.” Deonna said she enjoyed putting together scenes with Mickie James.
