Many Duke Requests, Also Birthday!
Added 2019-09-30 09:51:13 +0000 UTCI'm pretty happy with the 'Marilith' (gorgon), but wow I messed up that Mikasa by playing around with layers way too early in the process.
I've usually been pretty guarded about details of my personal life. I've always been very suspect about the internet and living on it too much, bla bla bla. It's been out there that today is my birthday though. I think it was listed on Discord for a while. So . . . You know.
I just wanted to thank everyone, even those giving me $1. I really am coming to realize how rare my situation is, how incomprehensibly uncommon it is even for talented artists to get any sort of following at all. The fact that I've been able to live off of nothing but this, commissions, and some part-time work for people I know, is a blessing.
It won't last forever, but that fact that it happened at all is something I'll go to my grave with. It's about as big of a win as I've wanted. And even if I need to go back to regular work, okay, cool. My life was cool back then too. Nothing's really at stake right now. I'm 'comfortable' and that's crazy.
Actually, I might be moving soon. I'd like to hedge my bets a bit by resettling in a more affordable area (it's also part of a larger family decision). I hate moving, especially after being somewhere for essentially a third of my life, but that's how it works for everyone, and my town is changing FAST! It's all good though. Again, even if I go back to a boring job there, I'm going to keep this going for as long as possible. It's my secret little hobby. I honestly just love the smut for the smut's sake at this point.
