Cum Bath

I simple can NOT understand things like perspective, or angles, or even basic concepts that every artist should, so getting started was a nightmare for me. Once I finally decided to commit though, I think the rest went along easily enough. It's still a little muddier than I'd like, and I think my use of 'blurring' for the background is more of a cheap 'post' trick than an actual technique. I think most artists are able to get by without relying on filters.

In the background thing, i not think you should compare yourself to other artists, you are you and you work on your style. I mention it since as a commissioner I think is the first cause of artistic unhappines

2018-11-19 07:30:55 +0000 UTCI don't think the blurring is a cheap post trick, it's a valid technique and an excellent utilization of your skill set to achieve results - some artists don't use filters, some do - it is a stylistic artistic choice in terms of the type of medium and image that appeals to them, not an inherent critique on quality of image or skill of artist -
