Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that B Cool suffered a torn rotator cuff during the eight man tag team match between his team and The Draw at ScrapperMania VIII. We are told that B Cool continued on, wrestling the remainder of the tag match along with his title match with Trent Seven with the injury. B Cool previously suffered a torn rotator cuff, and it is believed to be the same shoulder this time around also. We are also told that B Cool was the one to make the decision to vacate the title, as his status for the October 26th Tenth Anniversary event is up in the air.
Following his relinquishment of the title, a triple threat match would be made between former champion Trent Seven, Man Like DeReiss and Big Damo, with Damo coming away with the victory and the championship. Brennan has been told that news made the rounds on the afternoon of Aftermath, with Damo being removed from a multi man match for the NLW title and added to Seven and DeReiss’ match with the title on the line.
Talent we spoke to noted that B Cool had gotten himself into the best shape of his life for his current run, and those we spoke to also expect him to continue wrestling following his recovery despite the setback after stepping away from the sport in 2022 for a brief period.
