I don't know. Now that I've drawn the character and have gotten back to my commissioned work, I'm beggining to think that I'm being too hasty and indesisive. All (but one) of the jokes I've written for a female protagonist COULD work for a male protagonist, and since Scotia here really would be just a female version of Mark (with some tonal differeneces), I'm kinda thinking I should just keep working with Mark. I might spend a while just making generic one-shots with him. No side characters, so plot, no referencing previous comics. Just a macho asshole adventurer fucking up the world one selfish deed at a time. Scotia was going to have a slightly different tone though. A thing I was going to do with her that really wouldn't work with Mark is that she's actually picky about who she has sex with, so I can make lots of jokes about her rebuking effeminate princes who come on to her. Mark will fuck anything. That's kind of his whole thing. Scotia would be bisexual, but also a total size-queen, and woudn't even consider touching a man who isn't a bulky muscular gorilla-dicked beast, thought she would fuck any girl she finds cute. Mark IS into effeminate boys.
Some of the best feedback I got was that I should just take the comics one joke at a time, and I really do like that idea, but I kind of what a character connecting them, just for branding reasons.
