This one was really frustrating. When i started sketching it was my intention to create a robotic princess, one that would be a sort of fantasy clock-work golem. The thing is, I HATE robots. I hate technology. I hate sci-fi. I hate anything that requires anything futuristic. It's not fun for me. It's frustrating, and boring, and it makes me resentful. It was during my second or third draft of this princess that I realized, "Hey, golems aren't robots in myth, they are living statures of claw and stone and stuff," and BAM, I realized I could draw a sort of earth elemental and that would be accurate.
Point of the ranting is, I'm really thinking of putting a rule down that I won't draw anything sci-fi related, or if I do, It's going to essentially cost twice as much as something in my style. I know that's going to upset a couple patrons, and that's why I'm throwing this warning out there. Sci-fi takes twice as much effort for me, so I'm going to have to charge twice as much for it all to balance out. Not set in stone, but I come back to this idea every time I have to draw something of that genre.
Also, any idead for names? It has to start with G-, and I'd prefer a name that start's with Go-. So, Gode, Godiva, Gotta, Golette.
