January progress update

Oh. Hey there. Are you going to wear...? What? No. Nothing. You look fine. Let's get into it.

You've seen some of the new art already, of course, and isn't it just lovely. It will be wonderful seeing the full slate of characters in time. We'll see some sprites before that, too, and depending on which chars they are I might even put some into the game already.

On the writing side, it's been a terrifically productive year to date, and I'm keeping up the momentum. I expect to be done writing 0.5 this month, and then to release in Feb as planned once I've done editing on it. That means it won't be releasing on 1 Feb or anything, which I want to make a point of mentioning in case anyone expected that. Just definitely before the end of Feb :P

Speaking of editing: I have an editor now! Whale, who also writes for the VN Anamnesis (go check it out) has very kindly agreed to dive into the trenches with me. He'll be reading everything I do with a fine-toothed comb to help me make sure it's not only all consistent and properly grammarified, but also sufficiently fun and interesting. He's already hard at work, and I'll be applying his initial insights for the 0.5 build. Alongside the naturalisation changes to dialogue and narration, it's going to be a very exciting build even before you consider the new content.
