I wouldn't advise it. In my experience gouache dries a little bit darker even when it's pure white. This is why I initially started using egg tempera.

2020-10-02 20:03:33 +0000 UTCHi Stephen! Could you please tell me whether you generally allow the egg tempera to dry before going on to the next stage of applying chalk and using the stub? Also, I noticed that after you did that you applied more egg tempera to the drawing. Was any of the second application applied to the previously applied egg tempera and again should the first application of egg tempera be allowed to dry before applying the second hand? I have found that when I have not let it dry, it can become a mess. Of course, I am just learning to use the material. Advice?
