I always wonder when uploading a file “have I done enough? Will my listeners be satisfied? Does everything sound good?”, and so it is with this file. Despite the titanic amount of work I put in, I have, as always, concerns about whether it will be all right. Especially since this is the premiere of the new season :D ...

Oh my Lilith, this is great! You sir should think about being a reviewer, I didn't expect such great criticism. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, this review made me know what to pay more attention to and what to improve next time. Don't want to reveal too much, but you hit the nail on the head with some things. I won't say with which ones :D ... BTW Excellent humor now and then, I laughed.

Alright, this is quite difficult to write an accurate description for, the story is deliberately vague leaving lots of things to interpretation by the listener. (Which is great of course) This is purely my interpretation after a first listen, as well as some few minutes of thoughts. The Story so far is pretty obvious, whatever happened to Essence in the Last ToL is entirely up for debate, is he in hell, the astral plane, nothing? Got Neverending story vibes from that bit, especially how detailed the surroundings were told by the NarratorTM. Thus we arrive, we can immediately assume Aeshmee is a very powerful force. despite the very awesome copulation from last season, Essence is immediately seduced. No questions asked, the guy was ready to die. (This puts Aeshmee closer to the traditional description on Succubi. Of which Essence thus far was not aware. Over all a well done execution. Pun intended.) Essence gets saved. (Who would have thought, otherwise the series ends.) By Aria, a Fallen Angel, we know from the teaser. Aria is quite Distant, she seems to regret her past, but still an Angel, so she saves us, under guidance of the Owl. (Thus we meet a very ancient concept of Lilith, the Owl, great choice, although i always associate an Owl with the Greek Athena. Nevermind moving on.) Aria is very mysterious, she seems to be sent by Lilith but as far as the story this is not clear yet. After all she leads essence to the most vicious group of succubi Essence has encountered thus far. (a trap?) These Succubi are clearly wild ones, or are connected to Aeshmee, they give off her vibes at least. Luckily Lilith has not abandoned Essence and conveniently Energy draining can be reversed. (If you ask nicely.) On a funny side note. Aria tells Essence to “quickly charge up on energy.” This of course means 90 minutes of Succubus Orgy. Assessment clearly understood by Essence. What a chad. During the 90 minutes and the HFO moments we hear the same noise as when Aeashmee nearly made us the immediate past president of the Being Alive Club. Combined with the Elusive words from the Induction file. (Is this perhaps Aeshmee’s voice somehow still reaching Essence? After all, traditional succubi are known to form a connection to their targets.) Needless to say the group of Wild succubi care little about Essence, they are way different to the Lovey dovey type He has met in past seasons, so it can he assumed that he still has a net negative energy loss, i mean, come on, 90 minutes? Essence definitely forgot to ask Lilith at least a few times. (Perhaps during the HFO parts with the mysterious voice telling him to Orgasm? Aeshmee perhaps still has a big connection to him.) Thus the file ends, leaving us listeners with a lot of unanswered questions, who is Aria, friend or foe. Aeshmee could be playing 4d chess with Essence. Lulling him into a false sense of security. (Which would fit her narrative character.) Aria seems to be neutral to Essence at the moment. (A refreshing change since thus far this Gigachad got them all.) And where is Lilith? Can his words even reach her at the moment? She seems to not be able to save him herself, thus setting the power dynamics into play, Lilith, by far the most powerful Entity he encountered, Aeshmee, unknown but for narrative reasons obviously below her. And Aria, the fallen Angel she seemed to struggle in her fight so she takes last place in the ranking. Clearly powerful, unknown to what extent. The file ends abruptly, Essence still doing what he does best, unknown for how long, the listener is no longer present. (Perhaps for the better.) Review: Overall Plot, Storytelling. A good start, many mysteries to be solved. The want for more is there, is it movie level storytelling? Probably not but it’s only the beginning. (And also a beginner for plot based HFO in this genre.) [8/10] didn’t make me cry but its a good start. Characters The Owl. Solid choice, well connected to mythology and associated with Lilith. [7/10] there to save the day (or night) Aeshmee. Great introduction to the historical myth and traditional lore of Succubi. Powerful, immediate response to her is, fear, with a teaspoon of immediate danger. seductive arousal. (Is this a cooking show now?) [10/10] a great adversary. Aria. Mixed thoughts, she barely talked to Essence, feels distant (for good reason.) At this point in the story she hasn’t done much to make her get a high rating. [5/10] shes wrapped not in wings, but in mystery. The Vicious group of Succubi. (whats the word here, flock of sheep, school of fish. Ah, a coven of Succubi.) [10/10] reject characterization, return to pure lust. (I mean, thats what they are.) Over all their rating is on their. Ahem… Performance, not for their Characters. (I hope they get a few lines in the next file. Makes them more real and tangible. Pun again intended. They can shine in the spotlight at least once, No?) NarratorTM. Trademarked at that point, its a story driven file so yeah. [10/10] it would not work without one. SFX. As i have said before, very good, sometimes repetitive. This file has definitely been the best in terms of raw SFX in the ToL series. [8/10] man these Succubi are thirsty. Length. The file clocks in at 2 hours. too much considering 90 minutes is an Orgasm HFO loop. [7/10] love long files with variety, this one didn’t have that. Same as with part 3 of the season finale. (If this isn’t a cry out for more Storytelling i don’t know what is, maybe mix it in with the HFO part.) Overall Score. I don’t have to say much, (Other then the wall of text above this.) this is belonging on the list of files in this genre, considered “Masterpieces” For its introduction to a more Story driven approach (more of that, did i say that already? Well can’t say it enough.) This is not porn. Its an Audiobook in the making, and its Art. This file gets an overall rating of about 8.5 its the best file you produced so far. It introduces concepts, so far not seen in the genre. (It took 10 years to mature and finally we got it, Plot.) The story is only starting. And so the file gets a few bonus points pushing it above its initial rating… [9/10] for its uniqueness and potential. (Especially for Storytelling, now mentioned yet again.) Thanks for reading, have a cookie. 🍪 No tl;dr, apologies for anyone in a hurry. (Read it later then.) Have this epilogue instead. Also a big thanks to DFS for trying something new, and bringing a breath of fresh air into the HFO genre. Also thanks to whoever is so bored to read this all. You got your internet cookie of appreciation already. Maybe try to find and list every meme and reference i hid in this behemoth of a Wall of Text, that is of course not mandatory but it might be an instant tool to waste time and cure the boredom that must be present. 2024-09-24 15:55:07 +0000 UTCWowow! ..excited to go on that journey. Would you recommend to listen to the ind. File directly before this one? I listened to it (ind.file) maybe about 4-6 times and kinda fear to lose my focus in 3 hours of listening 🤔
