I do think the driver might have seen the light. Her speech seems to connect to him and we see that gun on the passenger seat as he looks at it. Yet, he doesn't have it in his hands when he leaves the car. Maybe he did want to help her and we'll never know for sure. I love the music use in this too. It's the Ghorman anthem when Mon and Organa are first talking and when Cassian is at the shop saying he's done, it's the Ferrix chant. I love how music of those already devastated by the Empire become part of the score of the rebellion. Also, did Mon even know Vel was part of the Aldhani heist?! I didn't think so, so if not then Cassian saying it would have been a shock!
