I live in Germany- Heidelberg (south west) and can say that especially in Catholic Churches it still isn’t allowed to have a woman as priest or that they can marry/date anyone. I am catholic myself as my federal state is more catholic in general but the church is so damn back in times. Especially when it comes to the LGBTQ + community, it’s sickening. I genuinely hate it.
(Tho in the Protestant church women are allowed to be priests and marry for years now. Also think they are more open to anything really.)
It’s frustrating and one of million points why I can’t stand behind the church. So I would say it depends on Protestant and catholic as region and country. Here it’s still not allowed as far as I can tell.
