Changes Are Coming—Pardon Our Dust!
Added 2019-12-31 20:01:00 +0000 UTCTo celebrate the fifth anniversary of our Patreon, we announced some big changes originally planned to roll out on January 1, 2020. Since revamping a whole Patreon campaign takes quite a bit of work, we're going to delay the rollout by a few days—but all the changes should be in place by January 3, 2020. This is the first day of the month that will have a Friday episode, meaning it'll be the very first episode exclusive to our new $5 tier. (And the tier is currently active if you want to join now and get ahead of things.)
To sum things up quickly: You'll need to sign up for the $5 tier (or any tier higher than that) to receive access to our twice-monthly Friday episodes, which will be standard, full-length numbered episodes of Retronauts. And these Patreon-exclusive episodes won't be available to anyone outside of this tier. Also, $5 patrons will have early access to the weekly Monday episodes, because we like you.
If you want to remain at the $3 level, or sign up as a new patron at that level, you will have early access to weekly Monday episodes.
Anyhow, don't be surprised if things here are a bit messy as tiers are dropped, goals are changed, and lots of text and images are updated in the first few days of 2020. The new, streamlined Retronauts Patreon should be up and purring like a kitten by January 3, 2020. And we hope you stick with us!

2019-12-31 20:31:04 +0000 UTCHow do I upgrade without being double-charged for the month? It looks like if I upgrade now I will be charged $5 today and also $5 tomorrow. If I do nothing now I will be charged $3 tomorrow and $5 again when I upgrade. What I would like to do is upgrade my pledge and pay the $5 tier beginning with the Jan 1 billing cycle. How do I do that? From what I can see right now the only way to do it is to cancel my pledge completely today and then repledge tomorrow Jan 1 after 12am PST. The must be an easier way though.
