Hi everyone!
This post is about that new game, which I am working on. I want to give you more details on what you can expect, what I have already done and when/how you can expect to play it.
Currently called “Goblinette’s Life”, will focus on a female version of a goblin who was born and lives her life inside a cave that is being occupied by goblins. Her daily life consists of completing small tasks along with her co-workers, such as, cleaning, sorting out travelers’ loot, feeding captives, helping soldiers with releasing stress, making more soldiers, nursing, etc.
Initially I wanted to make this game of an “Isekai” variety, having the main character die and reincarnate, but after some thinking, I decided that the better option would be if she was an actual goblinette. It might be difficult but I think I have an idea on how to make her… umm, dumb, but learn more as the story progresses.
While rummaging through loot taken from humans, a goblinette discovers a traveler's journal filled with symbols, maps, and sketches of unfamiliar places. Connecting the dots, she realizes there’s a vast world beyond the cave. However, as a low-ranking worker, she’s forbidden from leaving.
Determined to escape, she searches through the captives for someone still sane enough to help. Among the newest prisoners—three soldiers—she learns they are protecting a hidden princess. Overwhelmed in battle, they concealed her inside a chest, hoping goblins would overlook it. But now, the chest sits in the storage room, moments away from being opened.
To earn the soldiers' trust and secure her freedom, the goblinette must help keep the princess hidden until they can all escape.
It will all mainly take place inside the cave, and I have no plans to create any environments from the outside or any human related places. However, depending on the game’s success, the true ending will hint on a small game that I already have planned with the main character and her story continuation.
Game features:Goblinette’s evolution
You will start as a goblin type of goblinette, then with time and meeting certain requirements, you will be able to transform into shaman type, hob type, etc.
Evolution will mainly have a visual effect, goblin type will be short and thin, while hob evolution will be taller and thicker version of the goblinette. Then the champion's version will be tall and muscular, and so on. Something for everyone :)
Game endings
Set of bad endings
Princess discovered
Failed escape
Goblinette transformed into goblin in paladin's experimental chamber

Normal and true ending
Beastkin display options:
For the furry type of characters it will be possible to select how you would like them to look like.
Ears and tail only
Body with 6 breasts
Ears, tail and furry arms and legs
All above with body covered in fur texture

Currently there is no option for furry like heads to be displayed. Due to the slightly different shape of the jaw, it will have to wait until more content is added and see if it will not cause any visual issues.
1st Person gameplay
Stealth elements
Events
Each new day could trigger an event. Some will be mandatory to participate but some may require running away and hiding as they may lead to game over.
New dialogue system
I know that the goblin burrow game had little to do with storytelling and dialogues, but I think that this was the main cause of most of the bugs. So this time I will be completely rewriting this part of the gameplay.
Also, some decisions in dialogues or actions will have a small impact on the story. Nothing to change the end game but something to look at ;)
Until now it has been something of a tradition of mine to recreate the goblin’s 3D model, and so, for this game I am thinking of using this one.
This game will be played in 1st person, so it will require more details in characters than Goblin Burrow. Thus, I plan on recreating all of the goblins, and if you have any suggestions/comments, I will gladly hear them out.
Currently my plans are to release a simple exe in about two months to you guys, which will contain some basic functionality. It's mainly to let you guys have a feel on how it plays and provide a better idea of what to expect.
After that, I plan on working up a demo and releasing it on itch and steam again, and I will decide on how it will go after that.
While I have a basic concept of how this game will play out, it is still in a very early state of the development, so I am happy to hear all of your suggestions and ideas.
Thanks for reading :)
