I always assumed it was a song about post-break up, but it definitely could be about dealing with the loss of a loved one. And I do think Cindy's comment about coming out was interesting.... especially since Mitch was under cover and then when he literaaly came out he was all colorful with make-up on his face. So there may have been some additional meaning there. Also this song was post-Avi, so it's possible that it's about being happy now without Avi. And it was released in 2021 when a lot of people were depressed from the ongoing pandemic and probably just wanted to be "happy now." (I just read some of the comments on youtube for this video and some of them echo what you said in this reaction.) I agree with Ryan... not my favorite by PTX, but (as all songs by PTX) it's very solid. One last thing... Cindy, I love your hair in this video :)
