A new announcement going up on the main site (in 3 hours as it happens in a sign of things to come!)

Follow Exiern on Patreon for free and still get (some) bonuses!

Quick mention first, Dark Reflections: Zen here and Dark Reflections: Chaos here are back on their weekly update schedules again (every Tuesday and Wednesday) until further notice.

Now we know some people do this already but we'd like to encourage people who aren't patrons on Patreon to at least consider following us on Patreon if you're not already.

Benefits include getting email notifications about when we post things found from file storage that aren't on the site like this image that we put up on the open access setting for Patreon. So anyone can see it for free!

A bit on the adult side but the Patreon image filter won't let us post anything too adult! (As some of you might remember from some our follow up text posts - it's possibly a bit too good at its job.)

So, there'll be more pages like these coming soon including whole story arcs related to Exiern (from the old ESCarchive and other places) that you'll be aware of as soon as we post them on Patreon if you follow us because you'll get an immediate notification!

Furthermore, starting from next month, we're going to start posting the new page updates 3 hours earlier than the main site! OK, you might think what's the big deal about 3 hours?

Well, I got the idea for trying to get a regular pattern for updating at midnight (or 12:01am) on Mondays from Sean Harrington of Spying With Lana (you could set a watch by him - same time every week since early October 2008!).

But as most of our readers are in the US, that means the East Coast gets their updates at midnight Monday while the West Coast get it at the much more reasonable hour of 9pm on Sundays.

But now, there's no more lording it over the East Coast with being able to read the new Exiern update at a reasonable hour before going to sleep before the work week (Central had a potentially better chance than East but 11pm is still kind of late ...) as now everyone can get a chance to see the new pages at a more reasonable hour on Sunday instead of the earliest of hours on Monday.

Now for anyone thinking this is all a stealthy attempt to get people to ultimately sign up for the Patreon at a paying tier, you'd be absolutely wrong! We're being absolutely transparent about the fact we're hoping at least some people will convert from following on Patreon to converting to any of the paying tiers!

But wait, there's even more for people even just following! There's going to be regular posts about the history of the making of Exiern, there's been a lot of interesting things unearthed from various old parts of the site that are quite fascinating and potentially interesting to read about in their own right. Exiern has never been a straightforward webcomic. Quite a lot has been found in just the last few days and will be posted soon and over the weeks ahead.

Finally (for now!) - open to all patrons and followers alike, as you know from such features as Rxiern, I'm looking for ways to save money that can lead to more funds being put back into the making of Exiern, so feel free to help direct my spending and improve my savings with suggestions in the comments to posts like this one (there'll be more in future) on the Patreon. More details on this later (but soon!).

So anyway, we hope to see as many of you as soon as possible on our new Patreon feature.

And remember, it doesn't have to cost you anything more unless you want it to!

Of course, each of the Patreon tiers also gets you successively more and we'll cover the various benefits of that as well soon for anyone considering joining or upgrading in the future, especially since there will be some upgrades to the Patreon tiers soon as well.
