EP.48 Heinrich’s Wedding (1)

Heinrich’s Wedding (1)

When news broke that Eliza had become a Master and would remain in the Empire, the Kingdom of Leon protested fiercely, threatening to cancel the royal marriage. However, after the Empire offered to increase resource trade and Second Prince Heinrich sent a letter directly to the King of Leon, Leon ultimately accepted the Empire’s decision.

“Heinrich, I never thought you’d show such determination for this marriage. So, what did you write in your letter to convince the King of Leon?”

“Oh… nothing special. I just wrote that I would truly cherish and love Princess Rachel, who is to marry me.”

“Ho~ It seems you’ve come to your senses! There were rumors about you doing strange things with children in your palace’s underground, so I’m truly relieved.”

Heinrich realized the Crown Prince’s intelligence network was sharper than he thought and felt a chill, but he kept his composure and looked at the Crown Prince calmly.

“Would I ever do such a thing? In any case, I hope there will be no regrets about this marriage.”

Of course, what Heinrich meant by “regrets” was different from what Prinz imagined, but Prinz relaxed his guard a little at his brother’s attitude.

“Good. I hope you don’t change your mind. Someday, when I rule the Empire, I’ll need you and Yuno to help me, and for that, you need a stable home.”

“…Yes, understood. Then, I’ll take my leave…”

“Yes, you should get some rest before your wedding tomorrow. Go on.”

After Heinrich left, Prinz’s mind grew even more tangled.

‘Heinrich… please don’t do anything rash. I know your faction is up to something, but I don’t want to be the kind of brother who oppresses his siblings. But if you cross the line…’

Heinrich was undoubtedly talented in finance and administration and had proven himself in practice, so Prinz was willing to give him a chancellorship or finance minister post if he was loyal.

“Sigh… But if he doesn’t give up his ambitions and keeps following his clique, someday…”

Unable to clear his mind, Prinz threw his wine glass and retreated to his secret chamber in the palace a place where his hidden lover awaited and where he could finally relax.

The next day, Leon’s Second Princess Rachel arrived in the imperial capital, Adria, via teleportation.

A burst of bright light signaled the teleport, and there she stood in a splendid wedding dress, with only a blonde woman in uniform at her side.

“Are you Her Highness Princess Rachel?”

“Yes, I am Rachel Sinclair de Leonhart.”

“Welcome to Adria, capital of the Empire. And this person with you…?”

“She is Princess Rachel’s bodyguard knight. Don’t mind me please escort the princess.”

The imperial guards, expecting a grand delegation for the royal wedding, were momentarily taken aback, but quickly composed themselves, escorted the two into a carriage, and took them to the palace.

“Sigh… Sis, why did you come all the way here? You’re the kingdom’s commander-in-chief and chancellor it’s dangerous.”

“Heh, that damned king sent his daughter off with no dowry and no guards, just to squeeze out more profit. Someone had to come.”

“What if something happened? Even here in the heart of the Empire, you wouldn’t necessarily be safe.”

“Well, then I’d get to test that famous Lichtenauer’s sword. And I had to see Eliza, now that she’s become a Master.”

“I told you I’d talk to Eliza myself…”

“What are you talking about? I just wanted to see her. If she really chose to stay in the Empire, I’ll respect that.”

“…And if she didn’t?”

“I’d take her back, even if I had to turn the palace upside down.”

“Sigh… That would mean war, and if we lost, what territory would we have to give up this time?”

“Heh, as long as I’m commander, the Leon army is invincible!”

“Sis, please… Father’s already up to suspicious things with his private guard, and now you…”

“Come on, you’re the bride focus on your wedding. Leave Leon to me.”

“I guess I have no choice… At least I’ve sorted out the finances and made a list of corrupt nobles to punish.”

“I’ll take care of it. Don’t worry.”

As the Fiona-Rachel sisters chatted in the carriage, they arrived at the palace and stepped out.

“Wow, so this is the imperial palace? It’s enormous.”

“Yeah, it looks three times bigger than ours.”

“The Empire must be rich. Damn, if only we could get rid of the king and his cronies, our people wouldn’t starve.”

“Now it’s your turn to do well… I can’t do anything anymore.”

“Maybe I should cause a scene, grab you and Eliza, and run off to my base.”

“Sis!!”

“I know, I know, just kidding.”

At Rachel’s scolding, Fiona fell in line and followed her sister.

Yuno and Eliza, along with Isabella and Marie, headed to the palace banquet hall for the wedding.

If it had just been Heinrich’s wedding, whom they disliked, they would have left after showing their faces, but since it was also Eliza’s sister Rachel’s wedding, they arrived early and took their seats.

“Oh, Yuno, you came? The great Master himself coming to celebrate my wedding must be a sign the sun’s rising in the west.”

Heinrich came over to mock them, but Isabella and Marie ignored him, and Yuno suppressed his anger, smiling as he congratulated his half-brother.

“…Congratulations on your wedding, Heinrich. I hope this marriage lasts longer than your last.”

“Well, we’ll see. Oh, and your bride will be Eliza’s sister, huh. Tsk tsk…”

Heinrich glanced at Eliza with disgust, then turned away from Yuno’s family’s table and looked toward his bride, Rachel, entering the hall.

‘Both the sister and the bride have those disgusting big breasts… Yes, that’s what a bride should be… huh?’

But his eyes were drawn to the small girl beside Rachel. Petite, modest chest, plump thighs she fit his tastes perfectly. When Rachel went to the bridal waiting room, the girl was left alone, looking around for someone, and Heinrich approached her, thinking she was Rachel’s bodyguard.

“Haha, hello? I’m Heinrich. May I have your name? If you’re looking for someone, I can help…”

“…Who’s this idiot? Get lost.”

“Haha, feisty just my type. Forget being a guard, why not be my woman? I’ll give you jewels and ugh!!”

“I said get lost!!”

She punched Heinrich, sending him flying three meters and knocking him out.

The hall fell silent, and the palace guards rushed in to surround her.

“Seize her! She attacked His Highness Heinrich!”

“How dare you harm a prince in the palace! You won’t leave alive!”

Despite the threatening guards, she looked around nonchalantly.

“Oh! There she is! Eliza! Sis, it’s Fiona!!”

Effortlessly evading the guards, Fiona walked over to Eliza. The guards tried to surround her again, but Yuno intervened.

“Stop. She’s a Master. Stand down. I’ll handle this.”

As Yuno approached, Fiona stopped and looked at him.

“Oh~ You can sense my level… You must be the Third Prince? The youngest Master on the continent?”

“…That’s right. And you are?”

“Does it matter? Looks like we could have a good match.”

As Yuno and Fiona sized each other up, Eliza jumped between them.

“Yuno! Stop! That’s my sister! Sis, you too! What are you doing in the imperial palace?!”

“Sis? Then this is Princess Rachel, Heinrich’s bride?”

“No, this is Fiona. Remember I told you about the sister who taught me to wear a uniform? That’s Fiona.”

With Eliza’s intervention, Yuno relaxed and greeted Fiona.

“…My apologies. I’m Yuno Alexander Windrage von Balkan, Third Prince of the Empire.”

“Tch, what a letdown… I thought I’d get to fight. I’m Fiona Sinclair de Leonhart, First Princess and Commander-in-Chief of the Leon Army.”

Gasps were heard throughout the hall.

“…Why are you here, and why did you attack my brother?”

“Can’t I come? My little sister’s getting married someone from the family has to come. And I wanted to see my cute youngest sister.”

“Then why attack my brother?”

“That was your brother? The prince? He tried to hit on me, so I punched him to knock some sense into him.”

Yuno sighed at her explanation.

Just then, Rachel appeared with the Crown Prince, having finished her preparations.

“What’s all this commotion? On such a joyous day… Heinrich? Why is the groom…?”

Prinz rushed to Heinrich, while Rachel scolded Fiona.

Fiona had to apologize formally to Heinrich, and after he was quickly healed with potions and magic, the wedding finally began.
