[Silhouette Formula 91] Mini-Novel (Complete)

Wrapping up the last of this project for everyone. Cover isn't official, obviously, but I needed something to slap on the front. The later chapters didn't have any noteworthy photos to share, so the compilation here omits everything. I went through and modified all the names to fall in line with what was established with the manga version since the typos were pretty egregious in the later half of the serial. G-B.R.D. became J.B.R.D. somehow, Adel (Layla's father) had three different last names altogether, etc. It was a hot mess. If I missed anything, let me know. Now, for some context with this release, here's now things play out:

Chapter 1: SILHOUETTE GUNDAM ARC

Typically, when referring to Silhouette Formula 91, the manga is what is being indicated in most cases. The manga adaptation was serialized in Bandai Publishing Division's (later transferred to Media Works) manga magazine MS SAGA, while a novel was serialized in Bandai Hobby Division's magazine Making Journal. The manga version was later compiled into a tankōbon by Media Works, but the ending scene differs between the serialized version and the tankōbon version. Adding to this was a model serialization titled F91-MSV in Hobby Japan magazine.

Chapter 2: CLUSTER GUNDAM ARC

A second installment was planned as part of the Silhouette Formula 91 series. A manga adaptation by Toshiya Iwamura was published in Kodansha's Comic BomBom December 1992 Special Winter Vacation Jumbo Extra Issue with setting details following in the March 1993 release of the 1/100 Cluster Gundam. While the overall storyline of the manga version and the model kit manual are similar, the manga version features original characters as antagonists.

This project was hastily created to bridge the gap between Gundam F91 and V Gundam. Despite being a completely different story from the aforementioned Silhouette Gundam arc, the story concluded in its prologue. The chapter would remain lost to the pages of Comic BomBom until 2006 when Kodansha Comics published Gundam Short Story Collection 2, only this time under the title of Silhouette Formula: Ghost of Formula 91.

I'll tackle the Ghost installment as I work through more of the random Gundam one-shot manga. But, before that, a retranslation of the original Silhouette Formula 91 will be happening as it is sorely needed, much like F90 needed it.
