An Important Message
Added 2018-10-29 06:04:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone!
I hope you had a great weekend, and that you have a fun time this Halloween!
I'm writing this message because, for the last few months, I've been considering some changes for this Patreon. Please read it carefully. Thank you!
This coming 2019 I will have 5 years here on Patreon. It's been an amazing, wonderful experience, which has helped both develop as an artist and in my every day expenses as well. I'd like to thank all of you so much for your support! But given the time that has passed, a lot of things have changed as well. That's why I'm thinking I will change the prices, to adjust to the new level of detail in my work, as well as the economical reality of my country.
So, this is a proposal for the coming year, which could come into effect sometime around February or March:
To begin with, let's look at where we are right now:

And this is what I'd plan to change to:

Some explanations on what some of the terms will mean:
Sketches: Refers to lined doodles. Probably, but not necessarily, with some monochrome coloring or grayscale shading.
Gallery: Finished works in color, as were seen on this Patreon on the $3 and $5 pledges.
High resolution: Same as always, although their place on the tiers has been altered.
Exclusive image: A new pledge. You get to vote on a poll between different characters or couples, and access to the exclusive image from the result of the vote!
Some ground rules: No OCs allowed, only characters from comics, animation and videogames.
I'd like to remind everyone that this is just a proposal and a work in progress! Your suggestions are welcome!
Cheers and thank you very much!

Cris...I just recently found you and amazing art and pieces.I can see your point and I realize also that you have life and today's reality is starting to be harsh and scary.Cris, I enjoy your work and the sketches and finished pictures are great and want you to be free and comfortable.

2018-12-12 17:23:00 +0000 UTCThanks for reading my post! I understand it seems like a lot at first. After reading sever a comments, I'm re-evaluating this more clamly. It's possible I may take into account different changes that will be more accessible for everyone. Thank you for your support!

2018-11-08 03:21:09 +0000 UTCI've been at $5 sub for quite awhile, all of a sudden doubling the price for unchanged content feels heavy to me. I don't make a ton of money, so this would cause me to have to either discontinue being subbed to you or I'd have to drop one or two other artists I support. Despite working low wage, I like feeling I can give something to support artists I enjoy. Dropping one or two would be disappointing. It's just my own reality of economic struggles that obviously you understand! I really love your art, it just feels sudden to me. Thank you for your post, will keep supporting you and thank you for your transparency and future information! =)

2018-11-02 04:37:39 +0000 UTCThank you very much for reading my post! The $20 tier would stay the same, but would have an exclusive drawing that wouldn't be available on other tiers.

2018-11-02 04:36:50 +0000 UTCThanks for reading the post. I understand your difficulty. Like I said on other posts, I hope everyone would come to enjoy the value I'd be putting on these new tiers over time. In any case, it's not set in stone: Greg's comment above, for example, has given me plenty to think about!

2018-11-02 04:36:34 +0000 UTCI'm sorry! The reason I don't have high resolution easily accessible is because I've had people use my high resolution job to plagiarize, make unauthorized prints, and otherwise exploited them. I understand where you're coming from, it's just my position based on that experience.

2018-11-02 04:36:09 +0000 UTCThank you very much for reading my post and for your very useful comment. I don't know a lot about marketing. I'll take your suggestions and weight my choices on them! I'll be sure to bring up my thoughts and questions for those coming changes here so we can have further discussion!

2018-11-02 04:35:31 +0000 UTCThank you! I will, of course, warn you a month before I make the changes on the pledges!

2018-11-02 04:35:09 +0000 UTCYou’re an incredible artist and so worth it. If this is what you feel you must do then it’s something you must do. I mean not to be that guy but I see other artists that aren’t even half your caliber up to $25 and $50 even, with your talent you whip them by a long shit. You do you, youll have my full support and money 😁😁😁

2018-10-30 05:03:50 +0000 UTCIf I'm in at the $20 Diamond Access now how will hit change affect me?

2018-10-29 21:58:17 +0000 UTCit's not an issue for me probably, but maybe split the nsfw stuff over two tiers at $5 and $10? so then people on the higher one get all of it and on the lower they just get a few of the nsfw pieces, then people can uptick to the higher amount when they have more funds available and still stick supporting in general maybe

2018-10-29 20:05:46 +0000 UTCI'm ok with this. And i think to join $20 tiers ;)
2018-10-29 19:58:18 +0000 UTCFor the most part it's ok, the only part i have trouble with is the 15 for hd. I'd be more comfortable at 12. And how much influence will the people at the 20 tier have? Will they dictate all the art or just some of it?
2018-10-29 16:31:29 +0000 UTCWith the current exchange level, it was already hard for me to do 5$, and I think, with 10$ I will only be able to support you from time to time.

2018-10-29 16:27:22 +0000 UTCI think that all the gallery tiers should be at high resolution anyway.

2018-10-29 13:02:56 +0000 UTCFrom a marketing perspective the changes seem a little contradictory. The current $20 tier drops to $15, the $1 stays the same, and the $3-5 essentially doubles without change. I think you’d find more folks appreciate a change if each level was a little more expensive and also provided more to them. E.g. Perhaps the $5 tier becomes $8 but you go into the draw and each month someone wins an original drawing, or a print. The $3 tier becomes $5 and someone wins a digital bonus emailed to them, or are sent a sticker or something. The new $20 pier includes a chance to win a t-shirt (or a new $30 tier gets a t shirt each month etc..). I think everyone wants to support artists and agrees people need a pay rise regularly to adjust for increasing costs, but a doubling around that $3-10 range which I’d assume is the most common without extra benefits could reduce the number of subscribers and fail to result in that extra financial support. That would be my advice :)
2018-10-29 08:36:49 +0000 UTCSide note: I've cancelled a $5.00 in case it comes to pass. The other Patreon wasn't creating as they'd promised.

2018-10-29 07:48:01 +0000 UTCCool I'll likely go for the 20, will you let us know ahead of the switch so we can change our pledges in time to start receiving the appropriate rewards

2018-10-29 07:14:18 +0000 UTCCurrently, I'm at the $5.00. Been a patron of yours for almost 3 years (January 2015). I love your work, and will continue to do so. But to keep the level of interest I had at double the rate is a bit steep. I believe the price increase is warranted (I've been following the news, and what's going on is scary there as well as here)-- but I'd go for $8.00. At $10, I'd feel like I have to renegotiate what it means to follow Patreons in general across the board.
