Update

First of all, for those who didn't see it at the end of the last chapter, Patreon will be following RoyalRoad's M-W-F schedule, so the next chapter is tomorrow (Monday). This is because Patreon reached the target of increasing the backlog to 30 chapters ahead, which has been my goal for almost a year now. My gf has also started her Japanese black company job, so I only get to see her on the weekend.

Next up, regarding the last patreon chapter, there do seem to be some continuity errors, as I feared. Once I've got those ironed out and updated the chapter accordingly, I'll let you all know and list out the changes/fixes.

Now for the main thing I wanted to announce. For those unaware of the deep Xkarnation lore, almost 4 years ago now, I wrote a series called The Villainous Vampire. It was the first novel I ever got a publishing deal for and is the fiction that allowed me to start this whole thing as a career.

Because of that, the fiction naturally holds a nostalgic place in my heart. Now, after two years of being locked in contract hell, I recently got the rights returned to me. To my bafflement, Audible Studios purchased the audiobook rights for it, which left me in a slight dilemma. For those who read the earlier Tree chapters, you can tell I've grown as an author a lot. This book was written over two years before I even started Tree.

So, during my break last month, I decided to edit it. Not as heavily as I would like, but I think I've done a decent job updating it into something people are enjoying.

I've uploaded the edited version for free to RoyalRoad to get feedback, and it's currently nearing the top of Rising Stars. I felt now was a good time to announce to you guys that it exists. So, if you want to see an earlier but polished version of a story I wrote a while ago, I'd appreciate it if you all checked it out.
